I wouldnt consider pc gaming next-gen right now. Ps4 games look just like pc games. You know Ps4 is going to have much better looking games than the launch ones in the years to come.

Isn't that a bit contradictory? PS4 is finally bringing PC-quality visuals and it is a next generation console. Doesn't that mean that in terms of quality the PC was already "next gen"?
Not really. When the next-gen consoles come out there will be a jump in graphics requirements in the first year or two. Sort of like how Crysis was meant to be played on hardware that isnt out yet. Maxwell I would consider the next-gen era of pc gaming.Oh don't get me wrong, there will be a big jump accross the board as next gen consoles become the new baseline. I'm just saying that some PC games have already been at that level.
Then there is a whole aspect to PC gaming that not even next-next generation consoles will match, and that is visual fidelity and performance. Gaming PCs have the ability to push visual fidelity in terms of image quality and cleanliness thanks to much higher display resoltuions, advanced anti-aliasing methods, superior texture filtering, v-sync, and things like that. On PC much higher framerates can also be achieved, which to me is absolutely one of the most important technical aspects of a game. 120fps is possible on a PC. I don't think it will ever be done on a console. And these visual fidelity and performance advantages apply to every game on the PC.
