VERDICT:

You'll only spot a diff. if you're eagle eyed and REALLY care about some shadows and lighting here and there.

Real difference will be in gameplay controls, which I wil lgive the nod to PS3. Simply because PS3 controller is better suited to DMC.

Capcom had a demo session for Japanese press earlier this week where the game's producer confirmed that the PS3 version will have quicker load times due to the ability to install to the hard disk. However, the producer also said that the load times aren't bad in the 360 version.

Aside from that, the producer said the only difference between the two games should be subtle differences associated with the peculiarities of how the systems output visuals. You might notice some slight color variations. There are no differences in models and textures, though.

quicker loadtimes is an important point for me. ofcourse it depends on how MUCH quicker... but it's a good point.

Not really, if anything I think it has to do more with colors, and even if it did...the differences are so small.

That being said, when I looked at motioning, and then putting it into still-screen. It looks as though the 360 has AA. Could be wrong though, I'll try doing a grab and finding out like B3d does with pixel count/stepping.

That being said, the fact that the 360 matches a ps3 developed game is a win for MS, no matter how you toss it. And from the few games I have seen of ps3 first developed games, is the 360 seems to fair better, then the ps3 does going from 360 first.

when a game is ported from console A(PS3) to console B(360) the game can not gain quality it can only keep the same quality or loose some and that is a fact.

The game was created on a PC using special software from the ground up. It wasn't started on the PS3 or XBox 360. :roll: That's a fact. This may explain why the game looks exactly the same on BOTH systems. No quality was loss on either version. If EA had done this with The Orange Box, maybe the game would have turned out better on the PS3. ;)

360 games can not use the harddrive because its not standard. also multiplat games dont use blu-ray disks they also use DVDs

Both look pretty much identical. Even though X-box 360 looked a bit more brighter but that doesn't mean anything. The biggest difference was that the X-box 360 version seemed to have smoother edges but that's when you pause the video (the place where Nero holds his gun on his shoulder, on the bridge). But that's such a small thing that you probably won't even notice ever.

I'm guessing that the PS3 version will get the upper hand for superior controls.

yeesh we should all just stop complaining about it...DMC4 is gonna rock either way, it was always gonna be on ps3 so you lemmings should be very happy to play a game that is so great!

It'll look better on my PC than both of them (better textures, lighting, anti-aliasing and the like). I love avoiding these squabbles by being a hermit.

But if I did have to say which console version looked better, i'd say the PS3. It really is personal tase IMO: The PS3 is a bit darker, while the 360 is a bit brighter. Given the nature of DMC i like the darker one better, though it is almost completely unnoticeable.

If anything.. Well I paused it when that big monster thing was surrounded in flames, and the flames looked VERY slightly nicer on the PS3, but you just physically could not in your wildest dreams notice that when you were playing...

I think it is clear the 360 version looks better but it only becomes clear when they show the fire monster boss walking from the PS3 side to the 360 side. It's almost like he's walking from PS2 to XBOX it's such a clear change for the better which is extremely ironic considering the PS3 came out a full year later.JiveT

How do you figure? There's a part in the game where the guy fights the monsters with ice arms and the PS3 looks like it has better lighting there. The red and blue reflects off the walls better. Textures look the same.
