Do consoles have better quality control than PC?

I've heard a lot about crappy games being released on Steam, especially with these "worst games" lists that happen every year. Do you think PC has a quality control problem, SW? At least with consoles Sony and Nintendo are pretty tough when it comes to quality standards. I don't think either one of these companies would knowingly release a game that isn't complete. Your thoughts?

When there's up to 4 games released a year worth looking at and they are mostly copy and pasted rehashes of existing ideas it doesn't take much effort to reach nearly the same "quality" of a single days worth of content and up to 30 with most of the visuals stripped out.

There are more options on PC.

My KS8000 is 4K and my HP Omen X35 is 3440x1440. I'll take higher graphics, twice to thrice the frame rates, better response time, lower input lag and Gsync over nicer colors lol.

2160p on a small screen is pointless (you literally cannot tell the difference between 1440p and 2160p unless you stick your face within an inch of the screen). It's especially pointless when it results in lower frames and graphical fidelity.

Nah you can definitely see it on a 27"+ screen. I'd actually argue the difference on a monitor is much more visible than on a TV because you sit closer.

20-30 fps is fine for him, he only plays interactive movies.

Pretty much 0 qeastion here Steam needs quility control.

Not just talking about Greenlight Asset flips or big Publishers like Warn Bros that get away with porting shit.

Games like Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City and Mortal Kombat collection, by default, do not work without extreme work around.

Likewise older games ported, unlike GOG have 0 attempt to fix them for modern systems, they are simply dumped with 98% of the time requiring third party user fixes. Heck, I even wound up making guides myself for Tomb Raider 1/2/3/4, which are easily fixed with a third party problem, and should have been like that from the start.

Oh yeah Steam is full of shit. You could make a top 10 worst weekly. I bet there's ~50 new games on Steam every week.

Some of them are good though. Some hidden gems.

This also doesn't stop you from playing multi-platform games which have supposedly been curated by someone.

Still... Steam should put in a little more effort. It's not like Valve is making games anymore....

Meh honestly with the two hours no question asked refund policy steam has, I honestly could care less about some crappy releases... show me anything even remotely as customer friendly as that on the consoles, and of not just bow down and admit that pc are superior in every way...

Steam does have a big pile of shite on it but it's not exactly hard to avoid bad games. They could definitely have a better QA process though. For example, they could easily recruit a few thousand volunteers, split them into groups of 50 to 100, give them copies of new games for free to test and rate before it's allowed in the store. The cost would be minimal and and the quality of games released would be dramatically improved. More likely though is that Valve won't really change things while they are making money from it.

Console manufacturers are slightly better as they allegedly check them first. However looking at some of the shite they have for much more money than steam sells shite for, I'm not convinced they're as good as they claim to be.

The HP Omen X35 is 3440x1440.

Input lag is 8ms.

It has Gsync.

It is 35" Ultrawide which is about as big as you want your monitor to be.

It is also 100Hz overclockable to 120Hz. 100-120fps goodness for me while you're stuck at 30fps.

Basically the only thing your OLED has over it is contrast.

I have been playing most of my games at 2048×1080 for 9 YEARS now.

Well when you're being forced to pay for online they better put in some sort of quality control since it ain't like that money is going towards servers especially on PS4.
