I like gaming...period..BUT Pc gaming is like driving a manual transmission...it can be fun,but soon after becomes a pain..CONSOLE gaming is like an automatic transmission. sit back, drive, and enjoy your freedom..

BOTH will get you from A-B..it just depends on "THE WORK" you are willing to do, to get there..

I drive a manual.

I'd take it over an automatic anyday.

I like driving my car, rather than my car driving me. I don't udnerstand why someone would want automatic transmission. It's more expensive, another complex thing to brake, and less economical.

The only reason someone should drive a manual is if they're old and just can't be arsed anymore (like my parents) or they're just incapable of wrapping their heads around how gears work.

A friend of mine has burnt out two clutches on two different cars because she cannot comprehend how a gear system works.

That is another type of person who should be driving an automatic.

Except I provided a link to a study that basically supports what I said. So the "want" and "create" part are wrong.

if you actuall read the attached PDF you will see that on both the Ps3 and the 360 the largest usage percentage is in the 18-34 age group results, which i might add actually contradicts the blog post to a degree and you just posted baseless numbers that did not reflect the results of the study at all, Here is the actual PDF containing the results for those who are interested

Nielsen PDF

Oh yes, exactly this. While the 360 user base has a slightly higher percentage in the under 17 bracket than PS3, and the PS3 has a slightly higher percentage in the 35+ bracket, both those brackets for both platforms are a smaller minority than the 18-34 age groups. I'll say again, 18-34 is the majority user group on both systems (the above and below being a smaller group).

As expected, Kuraimen just skewed the numbers to suit his agenda. I mean he asserted (in his original post) that the 360 major base was 15 and under, and that the PS3 major base was 25 and older. Way to pull sh1t out of your ass ;)

Slightly? 43.6% kiddo's on the 360 versus only 28% kiddo's on the PS3 is a huge difference. The majority of the 360 userbase consists of (pre)pubescent kids.

Check again. The majority user group holding at 47.5% is in the 18-34 bracket. Just as PS3's majority group is 18-34.

Let me explain, I have been a PC gamer since I can remember, but now I can barely stand installing games and fixing errors, and patching bla bla bla. I just feel like it's easier to play on the console. A bunch of my friends (the older ones), have also «migrated» from the PC to the consoles, because they wanted to come home, sit and enjoy the game without having to care with optimization issues and whatever.

Majority of the console userbase is made up of grade schoolers. Do not want anymore.

BPoole96

Majority of hardcore PC gamers put 40 hours a week into SIMS Social for Facebook...

Some people may do that but they certainly aren't the majority

I agree. The majority of the console userbase is also not consisting of grade schoolers. Quid pro quo

Yes but for Ps3 is 59.3% way higher than the 360. And the bracket 17 and below is way bigger for the 360 than for the PS3. We also can expect the difference got bigger with Kinect in the mix.

i've been gaming since 94 and feel the same! it probably has something to do with growing up, having a career, and not having time to care about it.

I could probably count the amount of minutes I spend "fixing issues" on my PC every year with a single hand.

10-15% is way bigger? doesn't change the fact that the HIGHEST usage percentage for both console is in the 18-34 range, hence the MAJORITY of gamers on both console are in that age range. try and skew it all you want kurinaim, the facts are the facts, lol

I don't think he gets it, or maybe he is incabable of getting the point so he's trying to bend all the information in another direction.
