Do people realize that CAPCOM could destroy everything single handed?

Whilst we have no news of how far along the remake is, RE2 is a monster of a game, it is to many the best of the entire franchise.

If CAPCOM pull off what they did with RE 1 Remake for GCN.. it will murder everything this gen (survival horror)

Article ranking RE games.

http://gamerant.com/best-resident-evil-games/

Look anywhere on the internet, proper RE fans discussing the RE franchise.. 2 always..

http://www.giantbomb.com/forums/general-discussion-30/which-was-better-resident-evil-2-or-resident-evil--563254/

I hope it utterly destroys everything on the market, we need some real horror again.

that's expecting too much of Capcom, they aren't the same Capcom they were more than a decade ago, actually it was almost about 10 years ago they canned Clover Studios and thus begun the transition of droves of Capcom's most talented senior staff and their teams of programmers, game designers, artists, quality assurance specialists, and their collective synergy, they up and left the corporate bigwigs without competent project leadership, left them with only a B-team of staff while they went out to create their own studios

IMO the only quality studio they have left is Capcom Vancouver

I'm actually more stoked for RE4

as for RE1 and RE2 remakes, I wish instead of just touching up the originals they'd do something like they did in RE5: Lost in Nightmares DLC where they recreate the old game worlds in proper 3D and redesign the original games to work with modern RE mechanics, and thus change the games to accommodate for more effective gameplay abilities, that IMO would be the RE game that would make people rush out and buy it

If I want to play good Capcom games I go to my Gamecube- I have the whole RE collection- 0,Remake,2,3,CVX, and 4, as well as Megman X and Anniversary Collections.

REmake 2 might get a buy from me someday if it's done well, but Capcom is a ghost of what it once was

While I have hope for RE7 and its trailer looked coo', that shit is pretty incomparable to REmake.

Why? Two words.

Residnet Evil remake is the best remake in gaming, IMO. It's faithful and revitalizing.

I've warned some people and I'll do it again: keep your expectations very low. I doubt RE2 remake will be faithful to the original.

Capcom gets a lot of hate in here... but I find myself playing and enjoying a lot of their stuff.

I am almost exclusively on SFV and Monster Hunter right now... and with a new MH coming out next week, I dont see the trend changing. Top 3 studio in my book.

Capcom needs to put out their own console.

They the only ways making good games anymore give the wiiU and xb1/ps4 a run for their money

It would be nice to see Capcom treat all there fans as well as they do their FGC fans.

REmake is one of the best games ever made. I hope they can still strike that kind of gold again.

Whenever I think of a disappointing fall from Grace.... I think of Capcom.

Wtf has happened to them. I enjoy SF5(despite its preliminary lack of content). But they honestly have nothing in the pipeline. This is a company that use to have great game after great game.

Microtransactions and forced multiplayer prob.

Probably still enjoy it, since it's Resident Evil 2, which is better than Resident Evil 4.

Yes but capcom doesn't even have like 100 mill dollars in the bank. If they build a big budget game and it flops they could go bankrupt they don't have any reserves like nintendo / activision or other companies there on thin ice dude the company is just scraping by it seems.

I love Resident Evil 2 but I somehow doubt a remake of it would set the tide for survival horror games as a whole. The most Capcom would make of it is a stepping stone for future games to learn from.

You are comparing a 1-year span to an entire generation. And in that 1 year span are 2 mega-tons with Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, 2 gorilla franchises.

And of those 5 new ips, how many were succesful? Dead Rising seems to be the only one that stuck around. I would also like to see an Onimusha, agreed there. But lets face it, this is not the generation to take risks on new ips... they are not the only developer sticking to their guns.

Dragon Dogma is cool indeed. Forgot about that one

But MH is right behind SF in sales, capcoms 3rd best series (RE being #1). MH Cross sold 2 million in Japan alone before it releases in the west next week. MH4u sold close to 5 million copies! I would not disqualify this franchise from megaton status just because it is a handheld. While it is starting to catch on here in the states, it is one of Japans best game series.

I love the RE games, even 6 was good which I am told by many is the worst game ever made. I am right behind this whole Capcom RE Revival thing, they are games worth reviving for current gen consoles. In a gen where remasters of games completely unworthy of the process appear way too often the RE remasters are very welcome, to me at least. Can't wait for 4 to happen in particular.

If they've got a secret weapon, they better release it immediately, as in yesterday.

I'll be getting RE7 day 1, I hope it's great and more horror than action. RE2 is awesome but I doubt it has the power to turn the tide alone. They need something current and awesome. At least we know they still have what it takes for quality gameplay, as per SF5. It's the rest they have issues with.

can we please move off of zombies.....it so over already......as much as I liked neon it time we have new ideas.....

how about a decent aliens game ...where we can kill the alien......burn him toast him ....make him go boom like a firework and spalter all over walls....

is is too much to ask for a smart gun with lots of ammo......is it?

or a decent AVP game........

or a game based on predators movie......that be awesome.....I so want to be the monster of my own world.....who you be in that game?

After the release of the RE Remake & Zero remaster and the good reception these games had I think Capcom should know where to go from now. They are starting to go back to drawing boards with RE7,granted the game is in FPS only which normally I'm not into but I'm willing to give the game a try. People seemed to be turned off by it but we have only seen a demo which will not be the final product, hopefully in the coming months more is shown.

The most exciting thing I'm looking forward to is RE2 Remake. I hope they remake the game the way it is and don't decide to implement the features that RE4 and beyond have just fix the problems the original version had and add new features like in RE Remake.
