There are loads of new topics being made that bash halo 3's graphics. They honestly seem to believe that no further improvements will be made in the graphics department. So hopefully this will provide some other angle of insight. http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=22388

There has been a serious turn-around in mind-set. Halo 3 was supposed to be the holy grail of gameplay and graphics, but now with the beta footage people are like "Sure Halo is about the gameplay."
At the moment the beta looks like a polished halo2 but I really belive it will look a whole lot better in the finished version. If you ask me the brute vidoc graphics looked awesome compared to the recent multiplayer vidoc but thats just my opinion. I guess thats why people belive Halo 3's graphics ain't up to say Gears of War etc.

Not really. Riddick was the best looking game on Xbox, and Halo was the most beloved.

Not really. Riddick was the best looking game on Xbox, and Halo was the most beloved.
I have to disagree. I think the third Splinter Cell looked better than Riddick. Doom 3 and Riddick were pretty much on par with each other.
Cant say I seen the trailer at E3, but I do understand that if they went and wow'd people with demo graphix then they may lose some wow factor with thwe real game.I expect very high end GFX in further screens and videos, not playable demos.

Most of you people who say words like gamplay and graphics could careless in reality but here for some reason if it looks worse or better then another game it matters. Pull your heads out of your butts. This game is going to be great and there are no buts about it.Â
