Final Fantasy 14 wasn't ever meant to be console-exclusive to PS3.
if you read carefully during the convention, Square Enix people repeatedly said they did not sign an exclusivity deal with Sony. that it happened to be that PS3 and PC were the easiest to make an MMO on. they did not rule out it coming to 360.
There have been Japanese articles that Star Ocean 4 will be coming to the PS3, and i wouldn't be a bit surprise if it came with additional content like the Ninja Gaiden series has been doing. It just hasn't been officially announced.
It doesn't bother me one bit if Persona 5 or Kingdom Hearts 3 go multi-platform either. so long as we still get to play it, why should we care. and i'm personally not gonna waste my time counting polygons to see which ones are 'sharper'.
I personally wouldn't be surprised if Kingdom Hearts 3 ends the series. 1 and 2 are following a narrative. i can't say the same for Persona series (i'm buying Persona for my future PSP Go though... would love to play this game). Maybe each Persona game is it's own encapsulated story and that would matter much in the end either.
--------------
What is becoming exclusive is not so much third party support - the economics are not there anymore, they have to go multi-plat - it will be exclusive DLC. whatever the platform holder can do to persuade the average consumer to buy a certain version. even then the majority of that exclusive DLC ends up coming to the other platform anyways. would not be surprised if GTA4 DLC comes PS3, and Arkham-Joker comes to 360.
-------------
As the people at both 360 and PS3 have said. it'll be up to the 1st party devs to make the exclusive games.
unless your like the Wii that is completely unique, under-powered (you cannot put GTA4 or Final Fantasy 13 on the Wii withought tearing out most of the game or downgrading it so far that only desperate Wii-only owners would buy it) machine. in which case most of their games are gonna be exclusive, and if you wanna push it your gonna have to be really creative with it.
