[QUOTE="trasherhead"]Its just another free feature that you can choose to use. You don't have to use it.
You can do almost everything on PSN that you can on XBL, this is just an extra feature and more will come.

Yep they know but they just dont care.
fixed.
Yup I realize that. It's just they should start working on stuff more associated with games instead of a Myspace-like community with Sims/Mii influence. It's okay that they make it, but they need to do more than just that.Saturos3091
Well, this is the company that isn't based on making games that's building this, so shouldn't it be perfectly alright for them to do their job?

Look at all the post Lemming bashing Home...[QUOTE="2FacedJanus"]Yes great new feature, now we're all waiting for matchmaking, friendlists that work in all games, and always available voicechat.topcatyo
They'll come.
Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was Xbox Live. Neither will PSN.
No, I'm pretty sure all the features of XBL were there the day it was implemented.[QUOTE="topcatyo"][QUOTE="2FacedJanus"]Yes great new feature, now we're all waiting for matchmaking, friendlists that work in all games, and always available voicechat.kodex1717

No, I'm pretty sure all the features of XBL were there the day it was implemented.Beats me.
But don't forget, when PSN was first announced it was nothing but "Ripoff of Xbox Live" comments.
When/if (hopefully when) Sony adds those features, I'm wondering how many people are going to complain about ripping of Xbox Live again.
I think Home isn't going to be widely populated since people buy the PS3 for gaming or for BD movies and not for chatting in a virtual world.Supafly1I belive it will be a selling point for casuals. Just think about it, who buys Sims games? Casuals! Who uses MySpace? Casuals! Who chats and talks their brains out? Casual girls:P! (maybe just girls in general *blush*)

No, I'm pretty sure all the features of XBL were there the day it was implemented. So everything that is on XBL TODAY was there when it launched on Xbox? Yeah right.[QUOTE="kodex1717"][QUOTE="topcatyo"][QUOTE="2FacedJanus"]Yes great new feature, now we're all waiting for matchmaking, friendlists that work in all games, and always available voicechat.trasherhead

Barring Marketplace and Gamer Cards, everything was there on Day 1 of XBL.I think Home isn't going to be widely populated since people buy the PS3 for gaming or for BD movies and not for chatting in a virtual world.Supafly1
So this is basically a copy of the Miis and achievment points?UssjTrunks
Not really.
Achievements have been around before in the shape of those bonus things you get in games when you do something, and Mii's are hardly anything original, and aren't really similar to Home's avatars.

It's one feature that basically compiles every other feature of the PSN into one place.
You can do almost everything on PSN that you can on XBLtrasherheadYes, but the parts that are missing are very important. It's like Sony built a house without light switches, expecting everyone to just walk to the breaker box to turn things on and off. If Sony had made a well-thought-out API ahead of time, and forced developers to implement support for it, their online service would be far better.
It's time for lemmings and sheep to $hut up.castlevaniaXUhhh.....no? Just because Sony finally made a good desicion for once doesn't prove anything for any side. We still have to wait and see how many people actually will use Home, and wait and see when Sony will get some of the other features it's missing (in compairison to XBL.) To the person who started talking about casuals, sure Home is a nice, uhh, casual-type thing, but the $600 pricetag is still going to keep casuals out of the picture. However, if and when a pricedrop occurs, maybe it'll be low enough for casuals to jump on (although I doubt it, I don't think sony would drop it that low. Not even the Wii is priced for a casual really.)
