Why are we still arguing about this? Aren't there more recent games to be scrutinizing over instead of NMH? Was it really that controversial? But whatever, I say yes. NMH was over the top awesome in just about every way. It was like the kind of game I wish existed when I was a little kid. Over the top satirical violence, insane character designs, and a story that made me go WTF at least 10 times. Yes, the graphics were horrendous, but I think the awesome artstyle and sense of humor more than made up for it.

I disagree.
Whether it is trying to be GTA or not, doesn't change the fact that the hub blows. And unfortunately that is where a fair amount of the game takes place.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the game. But in no way did it deserve 9.0. On the other hand, a lot of people look past, say, Metal Gear Solid's shortcomings for the story, so I guess it's understandable.
GameInformer gave it a 6. Funny thing is, people call them soft.TheGrat1
gameinformer=hypeinformer. Almost all of it's reviews are blatantly based on hype. Rarely will they ever give a game that is really hyped a bad score. While they often give unhyped games lower scores than most other gaming media sources.
