the main purpose of a videogame is to entertain?
With this in mind, why do we always have to talk about graphics?
Let's see what Wikipedia says:
"An entertainment is any activity which provides a diversion or permits people to amuse themselves in their leisure time."
So, do we still play games cause they amuse us, or it's all about the graphics?
- Why do we rarely talk about how good a game is, instead of focusing on its visual aspect?
I don't know you guys, but I miss the good old times, when the games were nothing than a bunch of pixel, but we did have a lot of fun.
It feels like that we've all become videojudgers rather than videogamers.

Dude you realize that videojudging is also an entertainment, you even researched for the meaning and still you don't get it. I dont know where people get the idea that entertainment is only fun. I don't know where people get the idea that fun is only easy and not complicated or only action oriented, and/or other close minded stuff like that. I don't know where people get the idea that people only care for graphics since 3D.
well, yes. you can amuse yourself by videojudging. you got me there. but ppl do care about graphics more than before. as someone else said, if you see a tree made in 2D and another one in 3D, you have a different approach of judging. the one made in 3D makes you think of a real tree, therefore you are likely to find a lot of flaws. the 2D one doesn't make you think of reality, but rather of a drawing. there is a difference.
