Gears has more detailed backgrounds imo, Bioshock has better art style, atmosphere, and water, and Mass Effect has much more realistic looking voice acting. CoD4 at some moments is one of the best looking and most realistic game I've seen in a while.

One area where Uncharted is phenomenal is with the plants and other fauna. They almost look lifelike. Which is why a majority of pics people post are of the earlier jungle levels, and not the less stellar cavern areas.

The picture I posted doesn't justify Uncharted's graphics, you need to see Uncharted in person to be amazed by the graphics.

Nope not the best looking. But yes, it's the best looking on the PS3. Don't get me wrong, but their are some elements in this game that could have been improved. Explosions was weak compared to SOME other games. Texture problems, and those damn pirates was so annoying. The PS3 can do way better than this. Overall its and exceptionalexperience regardless.

I would say it looks great, basically on par with Gears of war, I like a few things better about Drake, a few things better about Gears, but I would say in the long run they are roughly equals.

However, thats a big negative for the PS3, as its roughly putting out the same quality graphics as the 360 in the same time frame. Being equal to the 360 would not be a big problem, if it weren't for the Higher price, later launch, and endless "WE ARE BETTER YADA YADA" BS spewed by sony and its supporters.

So yes, being equal, is still a loss for the PS3 in my book, because all I heard since E3 05 was "Xbox 1.5" bs. They promised more, so I expect more, and I am simply not seeing it.

Drake is a pretty game, but like many said it has its flaws, especially with some of the jaggies that are noticable, COD4 looks better IMO, but its not as bright and lush so people scream Drake... however Ninja Gaiden was probably one of the best looking games fora last gen system and I'm willing to bet #2 will be equally impressive just on a next gen standpoint! hurrah for the ninja!

I was about to sau MoH too, even though I hate the game, the graphics are amazing, but I couldnt find a pisture to show how good the game looks so I didnt list it.

WHO GIVES THE CRAP! this thread is pointless, it is pointless arguing as to whether or not uncharted's graphics are .00000001% better than gears of war or vice versa, thats not whats important to gaming. in fact this thread represents everything thats wrong with gaming today, if company's focused as much on substance and gameplay as they did on getting the absolute best graphics they could possibly conjure up with the current technology today maybe we would get better games and not 5 hour single player campaigns. maybe we would get our money's worth, great graphics are great but the emphasis being placed on them here is ridiculous and i sure hope game developers do no follow suit. but hell with the amount of morons in this thread that seem to care so much about them being the tiniest bit of difference better on their system than on an opposing system, how the hell can we blame them?

if this is the main direction that the next gen of gaming is taking us, what is the **** point anymore? maybe ill just go to the **** forest myself, it looks better in real life anyway. :)

bigger enviroments, more things going on at once ( just look at how many Enemies on the screen at once), more detailed character models, insane lighting and shadows effects and maybe effect that u haven't seem yet.

You really should note the difference in these two titles as they pertain to you're rant.

Gears launched more then a year ago and really had the WOW factor back then, added to that is the limitless play offered by both off line & online multiplayer both Vs & Co-Op !

If viewed through this lens; Gears is light years ahead of Uncharted.

Imagine what Epic could have done with Gears had they not worried about including those things I mentioned and only made a game like Uncharted with only a single player campagne !

Just food for thought for those who are willing to compare these two games fair & accurately.
