I'll probably get it... though I might regret it. Played ASS.CREED 1 & 2.... bought Brotherhood & Revelations and never played them... didn't bother with AC3. I'm hearing a lot of good things though about AC4... so I think I'll give the series another chance...
I think they need to stop the yearly release thing ASAP. Every 2 years would be fine.
Here's the thing. The only Assassin's Creed I've played is Assassin's Creed II and while I thought it showed a lot of promise, it ended up being very mediocre in just about every one of its aspects.
I'm a very huge fan of the open sea/pirate setting so Assassin's Creed has me intrigued with this latest installment. I'll have to wait and see if any major improvements have been made to the series' combat, stealth, traversal, and missions. All I know is that Assassin's Creed II needed a hell of a lot of work in all those areas.
AC3 left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I swore I was done after that game.
I love the jungle setting for AC4 though, but I'm not going to give in. The naval battles were fun but definitely got old, not sure I can handle a whole game built around that aspect.
This series is milked dry. Didn't we just get ass creed 3? WTF is this?YoshiYogurtThis mentality is what I'll never understand. If the same game was given in two years, with the same dev time thrown into it, people will somehow assume the game is better. Having many years in between two installments of a series doesn't guarantee that the entire time was spent in developing that next installment, and having a short time between two also doesn't mean that only that period of time was spent on the new installment. AC is made by multiple studios, and while one set of people work on AC III, some others work on AC IV simultaneously. Of course, this leads to other problems like stories not cohesively relating to each other (this was clearly evident with Revelations and AC III), but that's a different topic altogether.

Aye, i heard Ubisoft working on 3 Assassins Creed at the same time now:D
At first I was like holy crap this game will have pirates!!! (boosh), but then I realized it's an Assassin's Creed game, then my hype went to zero.
[QUOTE="CJ_ofCamelot"]Brotherhood was sh!t.NirdBerdOh dear... Let me try. Brotherhood was the poorest entry in the series.
this a million times, they should make a game about henry rollins being henry rollins.
