Car?
No, I dont car that the Wii U was announced, but now...
I do care that the Wii U was announced. I cant wait to get more official news on it from Nintendo.
I'll care after one year has passed since the release date.lbjkurono23
This. I will never, ever EVER buy a system at launch again.
I care very much about the Wii U. It will probably be the only next-gen platform I own.foxhound_foxReally? What if it turns out to be ... crap?

At least it will have Nintendo 1st/2nd-party games on it. They more than warrant a console purchase.

Unless you don't care about Nintendo's 1st party games.

Haha touche.
But seriously...do you really think the Wii U will be as bad as that abomination?
At worst, it'll just be an average, marginally successful system like the Gamecube.
Yes I care about the Wii U. I plan on getting it day one. I will also purchase a PS4.
Those are the only two Next-gen consoles I will purchase.
I will also have a 3DS, Vita, and PC (That can currently play games like The Witcher at Low to Medium settings.)
[QUOTE="dontshackzmii"]lol the already had patent for it in 2009 so it's the other way around.Nintendo patented the Wii U controller in 2005 before the Wii remote was even shown.cant wait to see how sony copys it

Everyone thought because the patent was for a Touch screen in the controller they thought Nintendo was going to have a Touch screen instead of the Wii Remote.

Does it really matter who came up with the idea first? The more important point is that this idea has been sat on for quite a while, and that Sony will likely beat the Wii-U to the punch since the Vita does everything the Wii-U tablet does and releases a year earlier. What really bothers me though is that Nintendo announced the Wii-U without announcing any exclusives for it, which makes me wonder if it will have another 3DS-style launch full of ports and shallow new IPs that no-one is really interested in. The best they could do is say "there will be a Smash Bros. game for it eventually, and it's going to be awesome!" They didn't SHOW it which means that it not going to be a launch game, and if they had any big guns for the system's launch then I think they would have announced at least one of them when the system premiered. If there's one thing I've learned about Nintendo, it's that they are VERY slow to learn. :(I care very much about the Wii U. It will probably be the only next-gen platform I own.foxhound_fox

*obligatory words*
I'm gonna wait and watch, especially after the disasters that were the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and 3DS launches. Never buying a system at launch again.charizard1605
How was Wii's launch a disaster?
If you're refering to the game's drought, literally every year had those except 2010, and the launch period had more games than 08 :S

whatever. Gimmick nevertheless.Even if we're not looking forward to the Wii U, sales will most likely spike when someone decides to hack it.
Same for 3DS.
That's probably have Wii got ~15% of its sales.
