Yes, it did not start off on Playstation. But it became a mega hit on Playstation. Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, Tactics, and also the ports they brought over to PSX. Then FF10, 11, 12, and now FF7 remake coming to Playstation first. I think it's safe to conclude, after scientific analysis, that Final Fantasy is a Playstation franchise at heart. Agreed?

You started gaming on the PS didn't you?

There were six, SIX Final Fantasy games that released before VII on Nintendo platforms.

VII, VIII, and XI were all on PC as well.

And VII's story is pretty much VI's in a modern setting.

I would say yes. SE themselves consider the PS1/PS2 era the Golden Age of Final Fantasy.

Yea sort of, considering the first FF game I played was FF7 on PS1. With that said, FF isn't a Sony franchise. They were on Nintendo consoles before they made their way to PS1.

That's just stupid, it was considered their golden age as it was their increase of sales prior to XII as being a globally known franchise

No. It was never a Playstation franchise in the first place, as the earlier Final Fantasy games were released on Nintendo systems.

No, Square Enix maintained FF as a staple name for JRPGs by sticking to the popular systems, before Sony there was Nintendo. Now they make multiplatform games to stay out in front. If they just go to exclusively cater to one crowd they'd open the doors for someone else to try to dethrone their staple status.

Yes and no. I started gaming back on the SNES, but I didn't have any of the FF's for that (don't really get to choose games when you are say 4-5). My first FF was 7, and thus, my first experience with FF was with PS. Then, 8, 9, 10, and even the ports that moved over to the PS. So, for me, I have this link between FF and PS.

Now, before people get into a tizzy, I know very well that FF isn't exclusive, considering they have been on Nintendo, PC, etc. But it is more of my perception of seeing FF with PS due to the past.

Let me get this straight. When Dead Rising, Ryse etc got to other platforms it's, "LOL Xbox" but we are supposed to consider Final Fantasy a Sony franchise? It didn't even start there. This place has become a parody of itself I swear. This can't be real life...........
