I don't I still play NES games and those still look Good IMO.
But their are some limits of what I can play for 2D I can't play 2600 games because I can't tell what is going on.
For 3D I find it hard to play PS1 games because the graphics.
But I can play N64 - current gen.
For 2D I can play anything from NES - Current Gen.
I can still greatly appreciate graphics at a8 bit level.
I play my Wii more than my 360 or PS3 aswell, so no, I dont consider myself a graphics whore.
I certainly appreciate good graphics, but I can overlook them in the event that everything else is good. So, no, not really.

This^^. I still like to do comparisons and stuff. How about a graphics aficionado? :P
No. Just because a game looks like ****, doesn't mean the gameplay sucks (unless the Framerate sucks for this gen standards).
That, and I can still play Retro games fine, even if it aged terribly for current gen standards.
hmmm 75% graphics whore? I own a Wii and just enjoyed Metroid Prime 1 and 2 very much, and even stared at some of the beatiful scenery. My favorite games are Ocarina of Time and Diablo II, and I still love playing those. So I don't think graphics are uber important, but at the same time I do indeed love them and depending on the game want them to be great. I am probably buying a new graphics card soon so I can play Crysis, STALKER, and more, as they were inteded to be played :P. So I have a love for graphics and all, but it doesnt make the game for me.
PS - I love how people will vote for no they are not, then claim that graphics dont matter at all, but continue to crap on the Wii :P.
To a certain degree. I've come to have certain expectations relative to the experiences I've had and as such, there will be a minimum requirement for acceptable graphics (depending on the kind of game of course).
In fact, everyone is a bit of a graphics whore. Noone is going to accept ps1 graphics in a current gen game.
Depends on the game. Some games live by thier graphics (I'm looking your way DOA Extreme) others simply do not. If the gameplay is immersive the graphics really don't matter as much. But if it is a racing game or a shooter I expect top notch visuals.
Yes, you can't have me paying 50-60 or w/e for your game and the visuals/framerate are garbage. Honestly if your game has bad visuals drop the price on it. It doesn't have to be competing for graphics king, just the visuals should be good for the hardware it's running on.
To an extent I think we all are. By that I mean we all love beautiful visuals. It is just a matter of keeping things in perspective and in proper balance. I can still play old games and enjoy the hell out of them, despite how dated they appear. Just as I can easily overlook graphical shortcomings of modern games if the game itself is still appealing and most importantly, fun. A good game is a good game... great visuals or not. Still, I do feel that having beautiful graphics adds another level of quality and immersion and would naturally prefer a game to be visually appealing.
I agree. You can have the best graphics out there, and the game can be garbage, or you can have bad graphics and the game can be really good. Therefore, graphics does NOT mean its a good game, although it certainly doesn't hurt to make it look good.NO. They are the lowest of the low here IMO.

I don't agree. I think bad graphics will always drag the package down to the point that it can't be "really good". Can it be good? Yes. But really good? I reserve that sort of praise for games with polish in all areas (and that means good visuals).
Heck no. Graphics are very low on my priority list.

Yeah pretty much, though I appreciate good graphics but not enough to create a thread going "OMGZ Guyz teh grphaics pwn Crysis" :P
For the most part no, I can play old games with low res 2D sprites... However I have a huge problem with jagged edges in 3D games, they annoy me sooooooooooooo much. Even in that case it's specific to certain games (an example is Darksiders, screen tearing and jaggies everywhere  )
Not at all. I had to knock down all of DCUO's detail settings to low and change the resolution to 600x400 to get it to run on my laptop.
It looks like ass but it plays like it should. I just let my imagination smooth out the edges.
yes, but unlike most people on SW, i dont really care for the technical side of graphics, i dont see me get impressed by any of them since crysis.
But Artistic games on the other hand, i have a huge thing for those.
Iw been playing all the best looking ones this gen. And imo Muramasa is really one of the best looking games ever made.
That is because graphics on the consoles are trickery. Most views are just textures pasted on a wall in the distance, where as Crysis actually had a huge world with those graphics. Modern PC graphics are still doing cool things, and they are spilling onto the consoles, like ID megatextures.yes, but unlike most people on SW, i dont really care for the technical side of graphics, i dont see me get impressed by any of them since crysis.

It is ridiculous that you even think such a thing as a graphics whore could even exist in this age of crappy 5 year old console hardware determining gaming graphics standards.Brendissimo35PC gamers don't exist then? :P

There are some exceptions (Metro 2033, STALKER series, ARMA II/ OA) but PC games with graphics that actually take advantage of DX11 and push graphics forward are few are far between.
