Poll Do you have a VR system? Want one? (98 votes)

I have PS VR 22%
I have Oculus 17%
I have HTC Vive 7%
I don't have one, but want one eventually. 15%
I might get one. 9%
Gonna wait and see next gen VR. 13%
Not for me. 32%

I don't have one, but I think if the next gen PS VR turns out good, I'll probably get it. It's just hard to have another system like that when there are so many systems and games out right now. But if Sony nails it, I can see me getting one. How about you, SW? Do you have a VR system? Want one?

I own a few VR kits, Rift DK2 (been permanently lent to buddy), PSVR, Rift and Quest. There is a ton of good content out there but it does depend on what you are into. I have full racing chair (fanatec setup) for racing and good HOTAS and pedal setup for flight/space games. I also enjoy the short games like Vader Immortal, Beat Saber. Just picked up pistol whip and that's pretty fun.

Zero interest in VR. Could it become more standard in a few years? Maybe. I'm more of the mind that it'll go the way of 3D (visors) and motion controls.

If you ask me, a high fidelity, high refresh display is much more beneficial to enhancing the gameplay experience... and not just for first person games, for literally any and all game types.

My PSVR is gathering dust quite nicely, I've decided to get a proper GPU as my next purchase, but will probably be a while before I'll check out the PC VR options.

@SolidGame_basic: I’d really like to try it, and nearly bought psvr, but I guess now I’m waiting to see what happens next gen.

I’m not certain I can even use VR, don’t like that I’d have to wear glasses with it, don’t like the ps move controllers nor that they use stupid sealed batteries so you have to use them plugged in.

Even still I’m super intrigued by it.

I still think Microsoft’s VR push would have made more sense on Xbox than Windows.

Yeah, I want one but it's been hard to justify the price for the games available so far.

Half-Life: Alyx being good would definitely tip the scales for me.

I've thought about it the last two black friday's, but just couldn't pull the trigger (too many games anyway).

I guess at this stage it probably makes sense to think more about PS VR 2.0. One of my big reasons for even considering PSVR is it's ability to play 3D movies, so hopefully the PS VR 2.0 maintains that and also is able to do it at full resolution (I believe the current PS VR is somewhat gimped in this regard).

I have the quest and love it. If you are not in a rush then I would suggest you wait a few years for the next Quest like device. Tried the Rift once and hated being tethered to a pc. The Quest you actually feel free and unrestricted. Only negative is the graphics aren’t top notch yet. By next gen they hopefully will be. Still loving my Quest though.

Don't have one and currently have no intention of buying one. I tried vr in the past and while it's cool I don't think it's worth the money that they're charging for it right now. Perhaps in the future when the tech matures a bit more and prices hopefully become more reasonable I might consider getting one.

I have a Samsung Odyssey Plus, but that's not included in the poll. Yes Half-Life: Alyx pushed me over the edge. VR is way better than I anticipated. Will probably grab an Index if they come down in price in the future.

I almost bought PSVR before the Alyx reveal. Glad I didn't. Hear its a bit shit.

So I may have also picked up an Odyssey Plus on Black Friday. I know I gave VR a hard time, but I'm all in for Half-Life: Alyx. In the meantime, I've been screwing around with Beat Saber.

Why is Valve Index not on this list?
