do you mostly play american made games?

just wondereing. i usually only play world of warcraft. halo. cod4. gta3-4. madden. nhl. some french games. but usually only american. mexican. or canadien. it seems like japan has a whole different set of games over there for all systems. and i play the ones that come from japan too. but its not like we get a very large selection ya know. now its prolly different in all the countries. idk i dont travel. do you import?

I play English games = Timesplitters

I play American games = Half-Life

I play Japanese games = Mario

And stuff from other places...

The majority of my games are "western" developed, as in Russia, Europe, and NA. Come to think of it, the only "eastern" games I have this gen were developed by nintendo.

Edit: Actually I have all the castlevania games on the ds, so there's a few eastern games, I also have contra 4, but that was developed by a western dev.

Most the games I play are from Japan I guess I've never really thought about it before. Why does it matter?

I've probably played more Japanese games this gen, as almost all good DS games are developed there and I buy a lot of DS games.

But thanks to some time with PS3 and PC, I have indeed played a lot of American games too. Just not as many.

It just matters if they are good.

That being said, DOOM 2, Metroid Prime, and Half-Life 2 are my fav games of all-time......they are all developed by American companies.

Also, Deus Exand Morrowind, 2 more of my favs, were developed by American companies.

In answer to your question I would say yes, though it isn't because they are American that I play them.........though I am American myself.

Oh, and I completely forgot Blizzard, another American company that puts the icing on the cake for me.

I mainly play Japanese games. But I do like some Western Games.

I play mostly western but I do play some Japanese like MGS4 and GT. Also some Demons souls.

Just remember guys, Blizzard, Valve, Id Software, Bungie, and Bethesda are all American developers.....just throwing that up there.

It depends on who you listen to, although I've never heard of eastern europe being grouped as part of the eastern world, except when discussing the cold war and the "eastern bloc". In the purview of videogames, Slovak games for the most part have more commonalities with other "western" games than "eastern" games.

West of the Ural Mountains, Russia is considered Europe and Western world.

East of the UM, Russia is considered Asia and Eastern World.

I usually play good games regardless of where it comes from, but for the sake of this thread, most of my favorite games are from the East.

We are a part of the European Union and Europe. We are a European nation.

I don't know. I don't look at the country the developer is from when buying a game, if I do look at the developer, I'll just look to see if it's a well-known developer or if it's one I like. I think I own games from a decent variety of developers though.

I play any game that interests me no matter where it came from. That being said, I usually enjoy Western games. You know, the kind of games where you dont have to guess if the main character is male or female:P

Since my most played genre is strategy,I´d say that most of my games are European.

But I play a bit of everything.
