What he means is, if you have your 360 set to 1080p it'll constantly upscale all games to 1080p (or however that works) whereas the PS3 will revert to the games native res everytime (no upscale). Happens to me aswell but i honestly cant tell a difference when my 360 is outputting 1080p over 720p.

For example, when play the SWTFU demo on my 360 my TV shows an input of 1080p, while playing the same demo on my PS3 my TV shows an input of 720p.

Downstairs I play on a 52" SHARP AQUOS.

no, what I am saying is my 360 upscales all games to 1080 look at the back of a game case and you will see it says 1080p unlike my PS3 that doesnt have that capability built in as a result I get a better image from the 360 and for your information there are native 1080p 360 games as well (street home court, virtua tennis 3, and boogie bunnies all native 1080p).

no, what I am saying is my 360 upscales all games to 1080 look at the back of a game case and you will see it says 1080p unlike my PS3 that doesnt have that capability built in as a result I get a better image from the 360 and for your information there are native 1080p 360 games as well (street home court, virtua tennis 3, and boogie bunnies all native 1080p).

thank you mate, but Ive only done a straight comparison on GRID and force unleashed, the easiest thing to compare straight away are the menu screens and on GRID this is really evident, but you do have to have a large screen to clearly see it.

I'm kinda upset. Its great for movies, but when I switched from SD to HD is could instantly see how jaggie all my games actually were. Its like a crisper image of a bad picture.

HD is the only way to go, I have a 37" in my livingroom and a 32" in my bedroom :D

How can you play a FPS without a HDTV? Especially if your a sniper.

Umm No 360 game is native 1080P. NONE. The closest game to 1080P this gen is Gran Turismo 5: Prologue on PS3, its basically 1080P. If thats what you meant..Gun_Haze

i currently play my PS3 on a 52 inch sony Bravia XBR4, 1080p HDMI v1.3

it looks amazing

but im planning on getting the Sony XBR8 when it comes out later this year (said to be the 1st LCD that is better than top of the line plasmas)

i play my PC on a 24 inch 1920x1200 monitor and its pretty good

but i think 2500x1600 screens are a ways off before it becomes a standard (or an HDTV for that matter)

Yes, i have a 52" Sony Bravia 1080p and a 42" samsung 1080p. I have the ps3 on the Sony bravia downstair and the 360 + gaming PC on the samsung upstair. So if gf is watching tv or something and i feel like playing i always have 1 console available. Tykain
