The poll results are very interesting. Apparently we have quite a lot of PC gamers here.

It makes sense. Surfing the net while gaming is best on the pc. How many here actually surf the internet full time with a console? I suppose if someone told console gamers to put down their controller/gamepad for a minute (pause whatever they're playing) and vote here, you'll see more of them, a lot more.
I prefer PC gaming a lot more. They're both hooked up to the same monitor, but a lot of times I just don't feel like turning the console on, whereas I always have no trouble jumping in and out of games on my PC.
I've spent more time playing pc games but I prefer consoles. PC gaming was better back in the day it when companies like iD and Bethesda were focused on it. These days it is all about MMORPGS and console ports. There are also some Japanese companies I like such as Square Enix and Atlus so being a pc-only gamer isn't an option for me. I'm also not a big fan of Bioware games or Warcraft so I would get pretty bored if I didn't have a 360.
[QUOTE="Mograine"]PC that runs new games - what, $900? not for the best parts, but a pretty good one. Console = $300 for a 360 with 2 games? I don't get it. If you mean prices of games, it's $10 difference new, but console games have more special offers when new, and eventually they all go so far down- pc games typically disappear before they reach $10 unless they're classics.PC. Much more economically viable and overall satisfying, especially when you learn to take the hardware/software problems with the "double the trouble, twice the fun" attitude.

Well, if you know what you are doing, you can run Crysis on high for a $500 rig. Plus, Steam deals are absolutely crazy, in a good way. Games on there are so cheap, plus preorders give you a free games sometimes.Favorite deal was the HL anniversary one where it was 98 cents.
pc gaming. it has so much more freedom. i've spent more time modding up fallout 3 and seeing the wonders it can do rather than actually playing the game (exaggeration but if it wasnt for mods, i would have stopped playing 5 hours in).
plus, pc gaming has such a wide variety of games. the fact that you can use a gamepad makes a lot of genres easily playable. it might miss out on some big name games (but not really any more than one console misses out on anothers)... but it makes up for it in a variety of small indie games and small developers that make games that are great for niche players.
