I very rarely ever look at a game manual. I buy and rent games all the time but always kinda figure things out on my own. There are rare cases where a manual is needed but most games have instructions inside the software.
Do you read game manuals?

If its a fighting game yeah cause it normally has the special move lists but otherwise no. Manuals are just far less entertaining nowa days. Man I remember the old Spyro manuals, those things were worth reading just for art and other info. Now it's just thrown together, no effort or flare, might as well not waste the trees.
Every time I buy a game, the first thing I do is look through the manual and read things that interest me.... Then I commence gaming. verbalfilth
exactly the same thing I do.

Me too... I usually do it a couple of times per manual.

great minds think alikeYour poll sucks. I couldn't vote. I would have voted "sometimes' if that option was in the poll. It depends on the game.
That's the first thing I always do when I buy a new game. Unfortunately, they're really not worth looking at too much these days.
My first poop after purchase. True story.I very rarely ever look at a game manual. I buy and rent games all the time but always kinda figure things out on my own. There are rare cases where a manual is needed but most games have instructions inside the software.

Exactly what he said word for word and I also like to read them while on the john like forza420 and greengoblin2099.Yeah, not to learn how to play, I just like to read them. The good manuals usually have bonus plot/character information, artwork, or some other extras. But some publishers are lazy and just scramble together like 5 pages in BW. :/

When I was a lot younger I used to read every game manual I had, nowadays I rarely read any of them. The only manual that I read post N64 era was the Fifa 09 one for PS3, just because I wanted to know how to do tricks and make all the different shots. Even then I only read like a page or two though.
I use to love reading Final Fantasy manuals, back in the PS1 era. It use to get me hyped before the epic journey I'd be par-taking. Good times.
