I don't think many would be willing to admit regretting a $600 purchase but I can understand why they would, but each to their own, if they're satisfied with their purchase then that's all that matters. I've played my mates PS3 and was underwhelmed but he loves it so its all just down to personal taste I guess.

I love my PS3 and dont regret buying it for a second. There are some seriously great games comming to it and I think it's a better system then 360 by far.
I think ppl that own both consoles are growing board of their PS3. But those that only own the PS3 are actually doing pretty good with.... They haven't played a lot of those games that you all played on your 360.
And for those that don't have a 360, the March line up is pretty great.

Between Resistance, RR7, Gears, MGS PO, and finishing all the hunts in FFXII I have plenty to do for another month or two.

So you're saying that those games were worth $1700 just to play them a month earlier...?
I regretted it so much i took it back before I even opened it. 746 of my Canadian dollars were not going towards a console with one game. I know more are going to come, but how long will it take?
I don't own a PS3 but I know one guy that does. He beat Resistance and now all he plays is FNR3. He doesn't own a 360 but he asks me about it almost every single day. He won't admit it, but you can tell he totally regrets his purchase.Â
I'm glad I got it when I did and got it out of my system. If I had waited until march (when all the games come out) I'd be going crazy right now. Also, I got to use a 20% off discount that was only valid through December, so I got the system for $400.

I regret buying a Wii if that means anything. My $300 Zelda machine FTW! -sigh- But I'll be damned to think that my soon to be PS3 purchase is but an utter waste. I'll enjoy every bit of it along with movies and games that I will invest for future entertainment.
This thread is kind of ridiculous. I regreted my 360 after I beat COD3. Nothing else seemed fun until oblivion came out. Now it's great. The PS2 was much better at the time. The same thing right now is happening with the PS3.Â

I regret getting a black DS Lite because it shows up finger prints waaayy to easily.
Some of you guys forget that for a lot of us this is our first next-gen system. So we've never had a chance to play games like madden 07, nba 2k7, fnr3, and tiger woods 07 or any other multiplatform games. I don't regret it at all! I've been playing the previously mentioned games a ton but I'm really enjoying playing Resistance. I already beat it 5 times and the multiplayer has me hooked! Maybe if I had a 360 before I got the PS3 some of these games would be old, but this is my first chance to play them and I'm really enjoying it.
im really glad there were no consoles left on launch day cuz i would have made a big mistake buying a ps3, spending ~700 bucks on console + game + taxes. instead i spent less and have more fun by picking up a 360
I dont regret it. Of course, I cant wait for VF5 and Motorstorm to hit, but that doesnt mean i regret buying just becuase there is one month with nothing coming out. Wouldn't you regret buying a wii too, it hasnt got anything? What about 360, it didnt get any games during this time either. Just wait, and god forbid you have a wait a couple of weeks.

no i dont. its been out since November and you guys are giving up on it already? I love resistance and look for to march and the rest of the year. Giving up on a system 3 months after launch is stupid, IMO.
What people should focus on if they really want to compare the 360 to the ps3 is what the 360 had at launch. When i look at the launch titles/potential and compare it to the launch titles/potential of the ps3 i know i made the right decision with the ps3.

I Agree,currently the PS3 has just has sooooooooo much going for it! lots of great games ,superior free on-line, and we got the CELL!!! yea the cell can do everything!!! I dont even know why Sony put a gpu in there, PS3 dosent need it!!! THE CELL ROCKS!!! LONG LIVE THE CELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
