Do you think any 10s will be handed out by Gamespot this year?

I think there's a possibility that Uncharted 3 could get a 10, but a 9.5 is a lot more realistic.

I doubt it. Plenty of 8.5's and a few AAA scores.

who cares when you look back the games that really deserve a 10 like GTA3, Halo CE, etc dont get it

Skyward Sword just straight up won't get one here, no matter how good it is (it could be the greatest game ever made and it wouldn't score a 10 here).

Dark Souls will probably score worse than Demon's Souls did.

Skyrim will be unplayable without mods, so it won't get a 10. it will score well here, however.

It's the end of the generation, folks, which means that GameSpot's expectations have suddenly become impossibly high. The best we can hope to see are some AAA scores, but there will be many, many more flops. Anyone who hypes anything AAA here right now is out of their damn mind.

Skyward Sword is the only game that it could get one, and i don't see GS giving it anything more than a 9.0, so in other words, nop, i don't think an game this year will get a 10

Doubt it. We may see a 9.5 for Uncharted 3 and possibly the PC version of BF3, but other than that, I see nothing other than 9.0s or lower for the rest of the "big" games this year.

i think skyrim has an incredibly good chance of getting a 10, unortunately knowing bethesda... it'll be bug/glitch infested at release >.< and it will get 9.0 9.5,

Simply put thats a lame excuse that it doesn't mean perfection that Review sites tried to put forward to forstall people from calling them out on it.
Even on gamespot at one time the moniker below 10 was....PERFECT.

1-10 Obviously 10 means the zentih, the most therefor it means perfect saying but it doesn't mean perfect means nothing cause it does mean perfect when a game gets 10 it means perfection and thats flawed.
There is no point to a 10 system and pefect monikers Gamespot should have started out with a 1-5 stars and never used perfect monikers like they used too because it ruined the whole system.

I don't believe any 10s will be handed out this year, mostlybecausemany of the high profile games are sequels and there is a lack of innovation.But there should be a good amount of games scoringthe"superb" rating and we may see multiple 9.5s (games which are pretty damn close to perfect). So far this year hasn't been all thatoutstanding.

Huh! That's not true. SMG2 wouldn't have gotten a ten if it wasn't able to destroy every single 3D platformer in quality and set a new standard for the genre.

Uncharted 3 won't go higher than a niner. The only candidate is Skyrim imo. The thing that could kill the score are bugs since it's a big open world.

Yea this year has been pretty floptastic but a strong year either way. Theres no way SS will get a 10 no matter how much I would want it too. GS has become the new "edge" reviewer in which they wait until last second and give a shocking review in order to boost traffic.

I think the underdog game, Batman:AC has a big chance for a 10 since it can surprise. I also think Skyrim has a chance as well because the reception that game got was unbelievable..

GeoW3 sure as heck won't, and this is coming from someone who's hyping the third.
