Do You think Bayonetta could top DMC?

DMC is a fun series... but not as good as it's made out to be, God of War is better... and I even had more fun with No More Heroes... which isn't nearly as deap combat wise.

Why there is so much hate towards DMC4, IMO is a great, fun, action game, maybe a lot of people compare it to DMC3 which is awesome (my second favorite PS2 game in fact) but even so, i think that DMC4 is a really fun game and for a change at least it gave us a different character.madsnakehhh

Exactly, the game offers more than the previous one, and i love how they, instead of changin Dante, they create a new character to make this new love story, the difficulty is rather high on some parts with some enemies, maybe i would love to see new bosses and more weapons for the Dante part, but overall i still think that DMC4 is as good as 1 and 3.

BTW, indeed, Alto Angelo is really, really awesome and one of the best parts of the game.

I just hope that Bayonetta can offer something similar, by the trailers i have seen it looks great.

so less weapons and a devil bringer that QTE kills enemies is deeper ?

The only thing I can agree with you about is fighting the same bosses with Dante and the backtracking. People seem to forget DMC4 wasnt the only one in its series to backtrack. DMC 3 had a helluva lot of backtracking also.

Can't tell until I know more about Bayoneta's gameplay or play it. I know Kamiya is behind it and it's looking quite promising but that's not enough for me to say it will surely surpass the existing series that has proved itself to me.

I thought Onimusha was rubbish though, but to each his own. Why I don't like it? It was pretty boring and I didn't like the characters, also the combat system was atrocious. Of course I began to hate it even more when they introduced Soki(he was just annoying).

Back on-topic:
DMC2 and 4 are not that hard to top, so I am expecting Bayonetta to be victorious in this matter (also the person that helped create dmc 1 is on the team). DMC1 on the other hand is impossible to topple with that character design and over-the-top action scenes, it just isn't a very serious looking game. DMC3 wasn't serious most of the time, because they had changed Dante from cold-hearted fighter to a"clown" with lots of one-liners. DMC2 is another story though-- it hadn't been fleshed out at all, characters were bland and boss fights were too simple; besides that I also thought the ending was horrible, and had no connection to DMC1.

BTW I thought DMC4 was extremely horrible, because of the inclusion of Nero.

I would admit i had fun playing as Nero. The suck started coming in at midpart where you use Dante and had to backtrack through the entire ****ing game again. On the fly style switching is fun for the first couple of minute, but the weapons for Dante all sucked. (Only thing new is the Lucifer)

I guess thats my problem with the game, Dante is completely tacked on and shouldnt be in the game. I'd rather they throw in more combos for nero and have new environments and bosses for the rest of the game.

I'm not impressed by Bayonetta thusfar. It seems really cheesy... even more so than Dante's dialogue.

DMC3 isbetter than Onimusha 3 which is suppose to be the best in it's series. You can't even jump in that game from what I can recall play itand the combat is nowhere near as deep or as fluid as in those found in DMC3.

In the case of DMC series vs Bayonetta, I don't thinkit's going to top DMC3 or even DMC1 for that matter.

It could in gameplay, but I have to say I'm not to fond of the main character (gonna be awkward playing her..lol :P) SAGE_OF_FIRE
