Do you think in 2012 that most games will look as good or better than Uncharted2

I think the majority will look better considering how far consoles have come. All the games now are beautiful now and we take them for granted, much better than when the consoles were launched? What do you guys think, just wondering. Obviously the games in 2012 will be insane IMO.

Yah Crysis beats it and that was released in 2007.

Also Uncharted 2 used smaller areas so it was easier to fit more detail.

There are many games that look better than it.

Well, if the big 3 release new consoles in 2012 then the answer is obvious.

Until then, "most" will not look better.

He asked if most games will look better. I don't think so if you're asking about games on the ps3,wii, and 360. Next Gen consoles and PC games will obviously look better if they come out in 2012.

CryEngine 3 is shaping up to be pretty good (PC, PS3, 360):

on consoles only? GOW 3 seems to have surpassed it allready! so by next year there should be a console game that looks twice as good as UC2

Maybe if you're only talking about big-budget games, but a lot of games are low-budget downloadable games on PSN/XBL (or they're on Wii, or a handheld).

To answer the TC: no I don't think that MOST games will look better than UC2. NG set the bar very high, I don't think we'll see many console games top UC2 before the end of this gen.

Are people seriously still talking about Uncharted 2? The game with plastic graphics and the most generic characters in a series?

I can't see them improving much more. Atleast not as much as what the PS2 did.
