Do You Think Killzone 2 will Flop or WANT it to Flop?

All I seem to read here is how much group "A" wants killzone 2 to flop and much group"B" knows it wont flop....

But why?

No game looks remotely fun compared to it in the genre...

I don't want any game to flop. Gurilla has been working extremly hard on killzone 2. It woud be a shame to see another game flop. I just think its likely to flop.

Bungie-3 AAA games, 1 AA game and 1 A game.

Gurilla-1 AA game.

As good a game as it could be just looks dull....I'm not trying to start a flame war but seriously...You have to admit it will be odd this gen to watch a Killzone game set the new standard as a Halo game loses its control of the top....and if E3 was any indicator....KZ2 a game shown behind closed doors, the very same night Halo 3 was shown eclipsed it in a matter of 2 hours....:|

At this point I ask myself if people are just saying they want it to flop or if there is some person or persons out there with no experience in video games...:|

So it seems you condemn people for thinking KZ2 will flop...but you say it will dethrone Halo 3, a series that has proven it's self, along with a dev team that has proven it's self.

you're being very contradictory in your statement.

You say Halo 3 is dull...even though many respected sources have said the opposite. And you say KZ2 will set a new standard in the genre? I fail to see why, all I have heard is that here is a cover system...and really good lighting effects...I mean, maybe if they added a jump feature this time it might be a little more revolutionary.

But I see a lot more games, on the 360, ps3, and the pc that out shine KZ2. In gameplay, originality, and graphics.

But hey, that's just me.

just because they say the cover system works extremely well doesn't really mean much... GeOW's cover systemed worked extremely well as well...so did R6V's and so did GRAW's along with other games.

I'm just saying, just because it works well, doesn't mean it's amazing or revolutionary. I think cows should hype the graphics and lighting features more than cover system right now.

i agree till you got to the last part ff7, mario , mgs , shoot pacman did more for gaming then halo imo

i totally agree with you manff7, mario, mgs, and others did way more impact in the fact that those games started or truly revolutionized there own genre but halo did still have some sort ofan impact thats all i'm saying.

I don't thinkKillZone2 will flop; however,I don't think it will be AAA either. All Ican count on is that it will be a helluva a lot better than KillZone 1 :lol: I just don't have a PS3 to test this for myself...

ppl who think it will flop are ignorant and haters, sony wont let it flop, nether will 135 devs, and millions of dollars, along with 3 years, and a PRE-ALPHA that pwns most games out there
