Do you think Microsoft can make a game like The Last of Us?

Ori and the blind forest, Sunset Overdrive Gears of War4, Halo5 are games from MS I enjoyed more. All those games provided me with at least 100 hours of fun quailty gaming

(Single player and mostly multiplayer)

TlOU was a great cinematic gaming experience but was a chore to play alot of the time and cannot compete with the online gaming that Gears and Halo bring.

Yeah, because ID, Valve, DICE, Epic, Crytek etc. didn't and don't create their own tools in house. About creating tools from the basic, I'm sorry, ND heavily relies on middle ware solution by third party like Havok etc. As a matter of fact ND still doesn't have a level creator in their engine and instead rely on Maya for all kind of modelling. I'm actually willing to go one step further and say they rely on other studios to first create the tech that they later use, they don't do any technical innovation, yes that includes the much hyped 'motion matching' for TLOU2 animation. Ubiosft Montreal pioneered that.

No, I don't think MS can make a game on the level of Horizon Zero Dawn or TLOU.

Primarily because they don't believe in singleplayer driven games.

Gears of War4 and Halo5 have a solid single player mode plus online multiplayer that is competitive and adds tons of hours to both games. Horizon and TLOU are games that you play once and sell the game right after.

As both series progressed, it's clear there was a bigger emphasis on Multiplayer over Singleplayer.

Halo 5 and Gears 4 had mediocre single player that I played once and then promptly sold them after as there was no reason to ever replay them ever again.

TLOU and Horizon Zero Dawn have amazing single player and I love replaying those games.

Gameplay and online is very good with Gears games. Intense, tactical, Addictive if your good at the game, which you clearly are not, never played any of the games before mist likely.

It's not about the brand, it's about the individuals that are working on a game and how large of a budget they have. Microsoft Studio's is just a name, it's the people within that make it or break it.

I played TLoU in the PS3, it was an enjoyable experience, hell, my first PS4 game was .... TLoUR and I enjoyed it even more, looked better and had a few extra elements the original didn’t have plus it came with a bonus: Left Behind ( which by the way you STILL HAVE TO FVUCKING PURCHASE IF YOU WANT IT in PS3 ). But ..... MP sucks Richard.

Halo 5 SP doesn’t suck Johnson and it’s hardly a mouthwatering experience, but MP is ... awesome.

I will say with the last few releases I do not think they have the talent to do it. I do think they are trying to correct this and only time will tell. I do think right now it is the most important thing they need to be focused on and after this E3 I feel like they are at least trying to.

Gears 4 is just as great even better online as the other games, it should have gotten a 9 here but whatever same with Halo5 both games are very complete solid AAA games.

If you get good at the game ten its a blast to play a few matches daily. If your a cow that has not played gears4 and does not know how addictive the game is when you become a beast at it, cry some more lol.

Gears of War 4 honestly shits on every ps4 game. Every online match is intense and fun, maps are great as well.

They have Ninja Theory, and I feel their greatest strength is their storytelling. It has worked well enough to carry games like Enslaved or Heavenly Sword. We'll just have to wait and see.

Microsoft is only known for their action game like halo or gears of war. SoT was a quick cash grab for the microsoft and SoD was buggy and unpolished. So, at the moment they are making half-ass games rather than full games.

And then you'd buy it and tell us how cultured and sophisticated you are to find such an obscure gem that we heathens could never imagine; enjoying the one and only "true gaming" experience.

They can but it will take time you can't make games of that quality over night. I think next gen is where ms will profit from the studios new projects.

Its not that hard imo. MS has the money they just need to invest and poach the right talent. But I'd rather MS do something DIFFERENT.

Whatever that catches my fancy, I'll buy it whatever MS makes.
