When it comes to functionality, the current PSP feels a bit under-featured when compared to PS3. The PSP does not have in-game XMB, trophy support, you can't log in as certain users, access to PSN feels very limited, along with other things. With the PSP2 however, I feel that Sony will fix this. You will have in-game XMB, trophy support andsome other goodies to make it feel like you are carrying a "mini-PS3", rather than a standard handheld device.
Another thing I would like to see on PSP2 is multiplats shared with PS3 and 360. The PSP2 will likely have 2 analog sticks and improved graphics etc, so it will be easy to port several games from PS3/360. Of course, the PSP2 version will have downgraded graphics, but it will still look far nicer than the current PSP. I think developers willabsolutely LOVEthis, since they can easily downgrade their existing HD games to a handheld device. The reason why third parties make all games multiplats nowadays is be cause HD games are expensive to produce, so if porting to a third device is a good idea, then the PSP2 will be a blessing for them :)
Your thoughts? Would you prefer the PSP2 to be made this way?
