PS3 is selling the opposite compared to how the PS2 sold, there are hardly any games thst catch the attention of the Japanese audience not to mention the fact that PS3 doesn't have a major JRPG released to this day. Its gotten so bad that even the 360 is now outselling it, shocking indeed. TGS maybe Sony's last hope to save the PS3 in Japan, can they do it? will Sony showcase the games that will send the PS3 flying off shelves the week later?
11 new games Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII Eyepet(like it not stuff like this sells in Japan) LittleBigPlanet White Knight Chronicles Team ICO's game So yes, I think they can do it. Especially considering that at least half of those games will appeal to Japan.

the release of tales of vesperia contributed to the increase in 360 sales in japan as well. but look for in an increase in ps3 sales in japan when more jrpg titles release especially wkc.
no to maybe. The niche japanese market has already been taken by storm by the 360. I beleive that MS didd what they wanted. Sony does have a trumph card they holding onto. Final Fantasy XIII which is still the most wanted game there. It'll be interesting nontheless. I wonder what big title MS is gonna use to counter it. Maybe Star Ocean hmm.
