No I think the eye rolling is from nerve damage
Due to Utimate Failurness? I don't want it to, but if it does then all he gaming will be left to Nintendo and Microsoft. But I think that Apple might step into the gaming world to replace Sony. The console would be named..."The Apple Armadagon"!:DTech-Man08
:lol::lol:
A lot of people were saying the same thing about Nintendo in the Gamecube days. Although the difference though, Sony's taking some rather big hits in the money department. They shouldn't retire. They don't need to.ChrisMunI can admitt to thinking that when the Gamecube did horrible.

I love howyou jump and dont awnser the OP's question at all and bring up a totally differnat subject. Bozo.
No sony is not even close to out of the game yet. I was considering this the other day, who would take sonys place if they did get booted out? no clue. But if EA decided to try their hand at hardware I would not be shocked.
I dont like EA either. But they are still the largest publisher in the world are they not?
And just recently I read some type of comment from EA in witch they stated the need for a universal system.
But ya its a moot point I think becouse sony is not even close to done for and I cant imagine a 3rd console maker getting into the market. MS managed to step in only becoue of the sheer will of MS, still one of the most powerfull companys on the planet.

I consider myself a lemming but even considering that Sony would bow out of consoles is the silliest idea on earth. The PS3 is sucking right now no one can say otherwise, and it's good in my opinion because, hopefully, it's teaching Sony to be a bit more humble and stop acting like jackasses. Whether or not Apple comes into the console war I've no idea, but as for Sony, floppage or not, they're here to stay.

No... just no.
[QUOTE="-D3MO-"]MS should retire from the OS industry as well since Vista is a major flop :roll:maabus99LOL, someone didn't read last quarters earnings now did he (related to the OS division).
If anything is setting Microsoft back, it's Vista. It's a nonsense OS and there's literally no incentive to upgrade. Performance on Vista is just short of a joke compared to XP. Maybe Microsoft should call me in the early stages of development next time and ask me if I want to move forward or backward in my expectations. It may get them somewhere.
If they're selling copies of the game....it's due to a few reasons, none of which are legitimate.
1) monopoly. 90%+ of the market share?
2) come on. they've got to sell at least a FEW copies of the damn thing on hype alone
3) they're making XP obselete. XP is no longer an option. Linux or Vista? Oh, wait....I meant....Li-....nux....or VISTAAAAAAAAAA!
Nobody really recognizes Vista as a more viable OS than XP. No one.

Booted out? You guys do realise that "the console war" isn't actually a real thing, right? There isnt' really a "winner". Some companies do better than others, but a particular "team" isn't "booted" out by the regulating body of console-wars at the end.
I wish people would stop exaggerating the PS3 situation. It's failed for Sony so far, but it's hardly an epic disaster. They'll simply build on it and try to make it as successful as they can, then they'll start from scratch with the PS4 next generation. Simple.Ninja-Vox
You summed up what I wanted to say nicely.
I would be afraid to try an EA built system  Unless they are seceretly planning a dreamcast 2?:P Really though Sony is not leaving anytime soon.Unforgiven2870I think it would be called the 4DO. It would cost $1000, then Sony would come back and scare them back into software development instead.

What question did he actually ask?
Sony is depending on the PS3, they wouldn't be taking these huge losses if they didn't think Blu-Ray was going to succeed, and PS3 along w/ it.
Thes 700m dollar losses could = Billions in profit if blu-ray becomes dominant, and if blu-ray becomes dominant so will the PS3.
Sony took a major risk, and if they suceed they will be granted a major reward, if they fail, they'll start over...or die.
Whats so hard to understand about this?
Do you guys say a college student has failed because he took out a $20,000 loan this year...and his in the red? Is he out for good? Does he look at it like he's ****** or does he look to the future?

This is a great point. PS3 is designed for a lengthy run. The technology is advanced enough (particularly if blu-ray pulls out a victory over HDDVD) that Sony should not have to worry about PS4 for a decade or so. The price will continue to drop and the games will continue to come out and sell.
PS3s are still selling and they continue to be near the top of all the most wanted lists. Whether it beats 360 or not, PS3 will sell enough consoles that Sony will by no means be ready to drop out.
This is just the wishful musings of a MS fanboy.

TC i gotta ask...did you actually think about what you were gonna say before you posted? I dont understand how topics like these get made...is it a joke? or did u suffer from temporary insanity? The PS3 isnt doing so hot, but its not like its not selling. Plus sony has the PS2 and PSP out there that are brining in money...
About Sony, Nah, i hope they stay for the good of the competition, you know is better to have 3 great companies than just two.
Off topic: I really dont know about Windows Vista but someone said that is a major flop, is that true?

Saleswise...idk...Dell, and many other companies that tried to sell Vista only computers, have reverted and now are selling Vista and XP configs.
Featurewise...YES...Major resource hog, Apple OS rippoff, User Protection thing must be turned off if you plan on using your computer...otherwise you'll spend more time clicking ALLOW/ACCEPT than actually doing anything.

Even if PS3 isn't quite what it was hyped to be, I think Sony will learn from their mistakes (atleast I hope so) and come back with something better next time.

Are you telling me Vista isin't a rippoff of Apple OSX?
Wow...just take a Mac and a PC (w/ Vista) next to each and play around w/ each. Very very similar....but wait since its MS its ok to copy...I forgot...sorry

Its still a ripoff...they ripped off many features....
And then don't forget that Vista is a memory hog...my Laptop has 2GB of RAM...a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz CPU, and trying to run Vista w/ everything enabled...makes all other programs run like crap...
and lastly the horrible user protection..Click Firefox (Message Box: FF is trying to connect to internet, ALLOW or DISSALLOW)...you can't do anything w/ that thing turned on...so I turned it off.

I didn't see that way, but you have a good point there, is too similar to Apple OS. mmmmmmmmmmmmm "what a coincidence"

Simple.Ninja-VoxEven using the word Failed is a gross exageration. Disappoint maybe but even then implys that you expected to much out of a system with the PS3's situation. It's not doing well...but it is not doing bad either and Sony wont be going out anytime soon.

if the ps3 is an ultimate failure then the 360 is also an ultimate failure for it sold just as much as the ps3 did during its first year without anynextgen competition and not to mention its unacceptable failure rate
