GoW3 nuff said. Remember on PS2 they were the best looking games and they were one of the devs that gave Guerilla tips on how to work with the PS3 and look how KZ2 looks. They probably know how to use the untapped power of the PS3, expect GoW3 to be the graphics king of 2009 or if not GT5.

Uh, they don't? Each game has its pros and cons, like GeoW has a good bit of everything going for it, MGS4 has very impressive character models, but pretty nasty textures, than you have to take into account the size of the levels and draw distance. (Hence why Crysis is so impressive, its massive and look pretty everywhere)
Yes, it will. Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 will be about as good as things get on PS3 (graphically) But the Cell's power is exaggerated. Sure, it's more powerful than 360's CPU, but who cares? It's not gonna allow way better physics or graphics or anything. Besides, 360 has a better GPU. The 360 and PS3's hardware is pretty much on par, you can't really notice any major differences in graphics, and I doubt that'll change in the future.

Yeah. It's about accept, really. The PS3's CPU may be able to handle more effects(shown in Resistance 2, for example), but it'll probably never match the 360's level of detail, which is limited by it's CPU.
Well. Dont wanna keep singing the same tune.. but PS3 Fanboys got over optimistic about 08. The 360 had such a huge lead it isnt funny, 08 IMO is the year of the PS3, not in sales or games maybe, but in sheer ground covered. Seriously one of the best comebacks ever. You cant deny that...compared to 07, 08 is a magical year for Sony. Now that they have the pendulum swinging forward for once ... I think the momentum will propel into 09 with a massive bang. Were gonna see GOW III and GT 5, the two biggest franchises on the PS brandname. Not to mention new titles like Heavy Rain and inFAMOUS, and lets not forget old faithful Killzone 2. PS3 exclusive franchises also, Uncharted 2 is in development, maybe a new Heavenly Sword...who knows. With Home being released late this year/early next year (har har), and a slew of great exclusives already...you have to admit...09 is looking good for ps3 owners.
I honestly dont think it will be graphics king over Gears 2 to be honest. They might be equal, but I highly doubt it will look much better than Uncharted or Gears.
That's my personal opinion, and I hope it turns out that I'm wrong and KZ2 is the next Crysis... but I dont think that will happen either. :P
Doubt it. Killzone 2 is the only game in development (that we know of) that the developers are actually taking their time to learn the PS3 architecture. Other developers fail to really go in-depth with it cause reality is; they can easily develop it for the 360 which has a much large fan base and then just make a sloppy port to the PS3 for its much smaller fan base.
lol i cant believe some people here are actully saying killzone 2 doesnt look as good as a game like gears 2 or something. 09 is a huge graphical leap year for ps3, killzone 2, heavy rain, GOW 3, and GT5, its a little hard to deny cold hard facts.
Yes, in 2009 the PS3's superior hardware will start showing in better graphics because developers will be more familiar with it. PS3 will have the better multiplatforms. You can already see it in most of the multi platforms coming out soon.
Well its using some advance visual effects which no 360 game uses like ray tracing.But i really cant say much,because all we have seen so far are Pre Alpha footages.Have to wait for the final quality.And if Heavy rain turns out to be the way its looking like,its going to be far better.
Oh people just shut up with the untapped potential I own both if you want just great graphics get a computer, consoles have fine graphics, dont expect anything jawdroping either blame the consoles hardware it was fine for 2006, but outdated today, KZ2 looks awesome but you better believe they are using every last drop of PS3 power.
I would be very surprised if the PS3 became widely superior, Killzone 2 will be great but it's graphics aren't that greater than those in Gears 2, and even that is widely debated.
