Do you think The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the worst game in the series

Do you think The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the worst game/black sheepin/of the series? I'vecome across tons of ppeople who claim it failed to live up to Ocarina, I've seen a vocal majority who claim it's the best in the series, and I've seen a few who say it's the worst game of the series.

What do you guys think? Is it the worst game in the series?

I don't think it's as good as Ocarina (though it is my personal favorite), but I think it curbstomps Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

I actually think it is the best game in the series.

I love the idea behind it having to relive the same 3 days over and over again until you beat it. The sidequests are great. I loved the Dungeons I know some people don't like the dungeons. I love the mask system and the characters.

The worst in the Zelda series is probably the 4 Swords for the Gamecube.

Although I did enjoy that game it was REALLY SHORT for a Zelda game that is.

Yes. Every game with a save system that doesn't suck is better than MM.

I though Majoras Mask was a great follow up to OoT and an overall phenomenal game.

The theme, the time strategy, the side quests, the score, all fantastic.

If Nintendo was to use any previous Zelda game as a major influence with Zelda Wii, I hope they use MM.

No, I really liked it. The worst was probably The Adventure of Link.

No, it just scared off casuals who were put off by the idea of a time limit and not being able to save all the time.

Majora's Mask is my 2nd favorite, behind Ocarina. It's not the worst in the series by a long shot. :P

Quite the opposite, actually. Majora's Mask is tied with Ocarina of Time as my second favorite Zelda game to date, with Wind Waker being my favorite.

Its my favorite game, honestly I just think that anyone who didn't like it just didn't understand it.

I used to think TP was the worst game out of all of them. But then I realized that TP was necessary to kinda wrap up everything about the Zelda series as we used to know it. Since now the fundamental gameplay is supposedly changing, TP was kind of a farewell to the old gameplay. Its like World At War for coming up with the concise WWII shooter before the series completely ditched it.

^This. Majora's Mask is actually in my top 3 and in some aspects I enjoyed it more then Ocarina of Time.

I think Majora's Mask/Skull Kid was a better villain in every way to Ganondorf also. Everybody says Majora's Mask is underdeveloped and that he/she didn't have a motive. Do we really need Majora's Mask to come out and say "I'm doing this to get revenge on the people of Termina who wronged me" or something stupid like that? I compare Skull Kid and Majora's Mask to The Ledger Joker. It just does things.

I think it's good but it can be frustrating with some of the things the game throws at you, like that one time where you have to stop the baby Goron from crying or when you are trying to get that Zora girl to start talking:evil:.

zelda 2 is objectively the worst. majora's mask is very polarizing but i thought it was one fo the best because it actually tried some new stuff

It's more Ganondorf who has no motivation. He is the archetypical personification of evil and has no compassion whatsoever. I have seldomly seen such a onedimensional bad guy, but he fits the series. MM's story was indeed superior, though.

No, it was a huge change from OoT and that's why people hated it, as did I (at first). However, the more I play it and the older I became, the more I find it to be brillant. It is by far the most mature and symbolic game in the series. I must admit that the 3 day thing and the save system was pretty frustrating though.

Majora's, Link to the Past, and Ocarina are the three best Zelda's in the series, hands down.
