if they ditch 360 soon that's stupid as hell, actually no developers have built graphics engines from scratch to take advantage of the console.
it's gonna be one of the most underused pieces of hardware ever.
It's all to do with money when they make a new one not the hardware being peaked.if they ditch 360 soon that's stupid as hell, actually no developers have built graphics engines from scratch to take advantage of the console.

They will lose money.
They need some quality exclusives built from scratch actually built to show what this **** can do.
If 360 doesnt recieve some exclusive's with actual engines built only for 360 i feel 360 was a waste of time to begin with.
you people see what im talking about?
UNCHARTED 1/2/3 same engine, but it was built only for use on ps3.
gears of war uses the unreal engine 3 which is a multiplatform engine not originally designed only for 360.
THIS IS THE SADEST **** EVER

The console is 5 damn years old. Who cares what it can do at this point, Id rather see what the NEXT system can do.....Kinect will be compatable witht e next gen, but M$ are going to get the most out of this generation before they jump ship completely.
I think Nintendoa re going to make the first move, and the rest will follow.

HMM NES=1985....donkey kong country=1994 actually best graphics the console ever seen in a 2d platformer.
almost 10 years later lol.

i do need to repeat myself because WHERE'S THE **** 360 GRAPHICS ENGINE'S? IT'S UNFAIR PS3 GAMERS GET CUSTOM TAILORED SOFTWARE AND 360 DOESNT.

it's pointless for next gen dude.
they havent even used the hardware in the current gen consoles.

Saying all this on system wars will not help anything, it's not like Microsoft reads these posts. Also it's not unfair, it's business, Microsoft and Sony approach this business different ways.[QUOTE="doom4dukenukem"]

This tech is 5 years old. Its dated and its showing, and we have to move on. With new hardware, MUCH better games can be made with improvements to Ai, physics, graphics, 1080p native games, etc... We need to move on to better tech.unreal engine 3 when first shown on 360 prototype dev's kits didnt even support multicore, the multicore threading in ue3.0 is tacked on.
[QUOTE="doom4dukenukem"]And it's been updated ever since, could you please stop spamming this thread.unreal engine 3 was completed before xbox360's hardware was even finalized.
soulitane
updating=not same as designed originally for something not as good.
hows unreal engine 3 designed for 360 when the engine was originally designed for single core processors?
When gears of war was first shown on 360 final dev kit's it was running at about 15 fps, then they added multicore support and updated the framerate.
but still LOL engine's so old it's just tacked on bs it doesnt use every hardware feature in 360.
How is this relevant or not to a new console being released? When a console is released is based on profits made and to be made. Its not about graphics, or sound, its just about money..hows unreal engine 3 designed for 360 when the engine was originally designed for single core processors?

xbox360 could do way better graphics or physics if the engines were designed to use all of 360's hardware features.
unreal engine 3 has tacked on multicore support and it's missing alot of stuff to use 360's other hardware features they didnt look at all the hardware features and add support before making engine, they's just adding support as they go along.

only reason people want a new xbox is BETTER GRAPHICS.
when xbox360 could do better graphics if they made engines actually to use it's hardware.
unreal engine 3=designed for support for general stuff, it's not designed for the specific stuff in 360.
unreal engine 3=basic direct x 9c engine
microsoft even said xbox360's more of a direct x 9 c + meaning it exceeds dc9x stand features.
only reason people want a new xbox is BETTER GRAPHICS.Dont be naive or generalize consumer purchasing behaviours. The approximate 80 Million HD Console owners were not motivated in their purchase by only one factor. Throw in that a new Xbox would deliver better graphics, on average, overall, not specific to one or two games.when xbox360 could do better graphics if they made engines actually to use it's hardware.

..
So in relation to your argument of "Graphics are the only reason" a new xbox would supply that. In terms of a decision by MS, it would depend on Market Forecasts and demand. Aspects that involve many variables. Given that quite a number of years have passed its quite possible the market is ready for a new console.

donkey kong country was a SNES game for your information. And you just need to say something once, not three or four times.

Most people want new consoles for way more than graphics.
I for one am looking forward to the Wii2 to see how Nintendo makes the Wiimote + Nunchuk more compact and accurate, to see their online service, and most importantly the games that will be on it (F-Zero! StarFox!).
