Do you think there will ever be a better FPS than Halo 3?

It had it all. The best campaign mode with the most satisfying ending. The best weapons. The most balanced and fun multiplayer. The best soundtrack. Not only did the Halo franchise peak at Halo 3 but that's where the FPS genre peaked as well. The multiplayer was the most played and it also happened to be the most sold Halo game. Can't think of any other FPS game more polished/refined and with so much content as Halo 3.

I agree it was amazing. The campaign was epic and there was nothing like good old splitscreen on the couch. It was the first Halo game I played. They should include split-screen in the next game imo.

To answer the question though I don't think it's the goat fps but it is up there.

Half Life 1 and 2 and Halo Combat Evolved are better.

Halo 3 was a great game for coop and mp, no doubt about that. Not nearly as fun to play through alone imo. I don't think it was the best fps of last gen, so fps of all time is out of the question in my book. Really great game though, and the best in the Halo franchise imo.

Halo 3 was great. The maps in particular were great. It was a fun game to learn

I enjoyed Halo 3's campaign more than 5 most likely, but I enjoy the core gameplay, and thus the multiplayer, far more in Halo 5 than any other Halo game before it.
