Yet so many people here don't have a Wii, or at the very least, don't 'support' it. They don't like it because it doesn't have enough good games for them, which I find surprising considering SMG1 and 2, two Zelda games, Metroid Prime Trilogy, A Boy and His Blob, SSBB, and more great games are on it. I think that to be a manticore, one must support the Wii. What say you SW?
Manticores are suppose to see the pros and cons of each platform without being blinded by fanboyism. They don't have to support it per se, but they should be able to see the pros of the console.
I'm a manticore and I support the Wii. It has it's own unique flavor that makes it great. I also own one :P
Then there needs to be a name for those that own everything but don't enjoy everything, which just makes things confusing. IMO if you purchased a console that means you intended to support it, its not your fault if it ended up sucking for you.
Manticore just means you play games you like and have the ability to do so, by owning all the consoles. You don't have to like them all equally. I love my 360, like my PS3, and think the Wii is ok.

No, it means having no preferences on systems.
At least, that's what I thought it was by older definitions. It might have changed, but basically. You support all systems, have no preferences when it comes to game,s etc etc. Owning all of them means nothing, really.

Being a manticore is essentially the claim you support all systems (not necessarily equally but certainly not that you have heavy leaning towards one). Some people will say "I'm a manticore" and then pretty much exclusively support 1 system or bash another. If you're a true manticore however you should GTFO cos this is system wars, we don't need no peaceniks! :P

True, but "manticore" is the worst. What's even worse is people here going out of their way to keep up the System War status quo. Buying consoles just to say they have them and never playing them. I'll bet a lot of the people here do that without even realize that's what's happened.

It's about games, not which system they're on. But yes, to achieve the meaningless label of "manticore" you need to own and play a Wii. You don't have to love the thing but you do need to have experience with and enjoy some of its games.
Although i hate labels i guess im a manticore aswell, in the end its all about the games, i think the wii has something special to offer, but not much games of my personal taste. Lets see how the WII U does.
I have all the systems and I do not support the wii in any shape or form. I'd like to consider myself an unbiased because I own what I comment on and the wii has no redeeming qualities for me.
Anyone who self identifies with any of these terms is a moron. Nobody should be obligated to buy any games or system they don't like just so other people don't consider them fanboys. I bought all the seventh generation systems and I enjoyed them all. But I didn't do it so people would call me a manticore. I'd sooner kill myself.
