Does any one give a crap about the New Medal of Honor?

I gave the beta about 2-3 hours of play and it is just at mediocre turd. Graphics are a joke and the maps and spawning is uninspired and pretty much just bland all around. I enjoyed the last MOH and was hoping this would be a more realistic COD type game since I hate COD but its not. Looks like its just Halo 4 for me this year as far as FPS go.DarthClark

meh, I enjoyed it for what it was.

A dumb military shooter, it had a fairly interesting campaign atleast.

It was also incredibly shallow and horrifically unbalanced. You had maybe 1/4 the options in weapons, maps and gear you get in any other modern shooter, while some maps made it possible for only one side to win unless the other consisted of complete idiots with the chokepoints and scorechains making it so easy to camp and rack up kills.

My first time playing, I hid in a hole and got a 44 kill streak with the MP7. I wish I was kidding, and I felt dirty after.

Ye it actually makes Black ops 2, not generic and a fantastic FPS experience. Thats how bad new MOH looks, and I dont like COD as well.

No they are completely different games. Both are great, the people who made Allied Assault turned into Inifinity Ward and started the Call of Duty series. Allied Assault also had input from Steven Spielburg which is why it has a similar tone to Saving Private Ryan. Its probably one of the best WW II shooters ever.

Pacific Assault was a fantastic and incredibly underrated game. Airborne was fun but short, at least it did things a little differently, I choose to ignore the existence of games in the series after this. I got MoH 2010 for free with the Origin giveaway a few days ago (the only game I got from it), I played for 20 minutes and quit after I went over a 3 inch ledge and was unable to go back over it while the game waited for my squad mates to catch up so a scripted event could trigger. I got it for free and still feel I spent too much.

I might give a crap, I don't know. MOH wasn't bad, they might make a pretty good campaign this time if they hire someone who knows how scripting works.

But can a narrative itself carry the game if gameplay mechanics are just a mediocre copy of something else?

I mean, I'd like to try Spec Ops, many praise the story, but no way I'm paying more than $10 for it. Looks rather derivative...

I like Medal of Honor, so yeah. I've missed out on a ton of Medal of Honor games though :(.
