Does anyone still seriously own and defend the Wii ?

I mean c'mon, here it is almost 2 years later and even after all those hardware sales, their game library is garbage, and almost no developers even want to be bothered with it's prehistoric hardware, which is why the Wii will never see such games like Fallout 3, Dead Space, RE-5.

Seriously i hope no one is foolish enough to hang on to or purchase that so called current gen gaming system, it's really not fit to shine the shoes of the PS3 or 360.

Not quite but the Wii line-up for the next year is looking pretty good.

The only third party support is getting better i guess. But most of the third party games ive seen recently is all from japan. LIke if you look at the games wii fans on here are hyping they are all like cell shaded anime games.

I cant freaking wait for sin and punishment 2, but yea the system over all has been a huge dissapointment

I don't own one but I think it gets given to much hate. The hardware is out of date but the wii controls could make Certain games (not the kind founld on ps3, xbox360) fun, if someones into that kind of thing. However I think the games are doing really bad because like ps3s sixaxis (which is different then what wii uses) developers are still learning how to better use the controls in game play.

I think it has some pretty good games, but right now we don't have anything new to play, and 3rd party is, as you said, dismal.

I'm just buying time until Nintendo next true first party release. (Please be zelda)

Yeah well sorry dude i didn't feel the need to drone on about the obvious, the Wii was way over hyped for far too long and now what everyone knew would happen is happening, it's getting lousy support because of it's obsolete hardware, hence all the lousy games and it's following in the gamecubes footsteps, people who bought it have realized it's short comings and their trading up for something better.

I mean , yeah anyone could go on for pages about all the Wii's short comings but i'm not a hater, i actually wish Nintendo put out a more beast of a system, because i like alot of 1st party Nintendo titles, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and i love some healthy competition and some powerful hardware with good online play and gorgeous HD graphics, but Nintendo doesn't offer that, so why spend money and take a step back technologically, it's not worth it.

Yes. The Wii is the only console to find hardcore niche games. All the PS3 and Xbox 360 get are mainstream casualized PC crap. So in conclusion:

PC exclusives and Valve games>Wii niche games>Nintendo first party>bastardized psuedo-PC games with no depth which makes up the 360 and PS3s lineup and all the other mainstream crap that sells on those systems>Wii casual crap.

Yeah, Nintendo for the past five years has been doing noithing but coming you with remakes, ports, and rehashes. Hell, the five games that I'm looking forward to on the Wii are remakes, a sequel and a rehash.

Like Yahtzee said, all it takes for Nintendo to fall off its high horse is for it to release a few more Virtual Boys (which ironically, I like).

Here's a thought Wii owners, since the Wii seems to be moving in the direction of cell shaded cartoon looking games, then why not go resurrect Don Bluth, creator of "Dragons Lair and Space Ace" and see if he can get any descent games for the console, because thats the only way i see the Wii turning out anything that looks good graphically.

I would name games, but it most likely won't matter to someone like you.

1 Cell Shading is quite difficult on the GPU, 2 Naruto, DBZ, and alike are much more preliavent on XBox/PS3, 3 Can you name any games that are examples of what your whining about, 4 you are just being silly.
