people are just bashing the Wii because they don't like it/were dissapointed.
It takes a fanboy to say "Wii has no games".
personal opinion =/= fact.
Wii is not my st.yle, but I can see that it has good games.

I own it, and I kinda regret buying it.Jigsaw9798This is when people make mistakes. You buy a system and regret buying it, that's a mistake for not doing any reserach. And most of the time when you sell a system you regret selling it.

Well sometimes it doesn't matter. Maybe at the time he bought it the Wii had some great things going for it (like Galaxy, Brawl, Twilight Princess, Zack and Wiki etc...). Skip to now and it seems like the Wii is a console for dev. to throw remakes in, to make som extra cash.
Although for the first time in a while, the Wii's 3rd party games are looking friggin amazing.
The question is, if the Wii was such a joke, why do haters like the TC insist on hating on it? Why not just leave it alone? It's starting to feel like the haters are actually acknowledging that the Wii is starting to shape up pretty well with its lineup cause it seems that it's on their minds all the time in SW.ZhengiBecause its actually pushing out core gaming

And what do you base that conclusion on what? The number of games that are shooters coming out this year?
I am guessing the Wii is making it so there is not more shooters or RPGs? I really have no idea what you mean by that statement because the 360 and PS3 seem to be having no problems with the so called "Hard core games".

There is nothing to defend. I think everyone knows its a secondary console with a few good games. It misses all the great multiplaits, and other then the regular rehashes we get from nintendo every gen, that is it. Its like the GC all over again, except this time mom and granpa want one.lolkie_81stop thinking and open your eyes.

so beacuse you cant live with the wii without another console makes a secondary console? you're not the only one person in the world that plays video games.
I'm a Wii only owner and I love it!
Of course I love the other systems too, I've tried them all!
Why do you guys have to bash on the wii? It's got great games that anyone can play, is that such an offense? It seems like you guys are just mad that the systems you have are not selling as well(not that that's a bad thing, sales don't matter to me, I hate people who use them to state their system is better).
It offers games that wouldn't be the same on any other system, and that's why I like it. 360 = PS3 = Wii FTW
Just cause it's got older hardware doesn't mean it's **** I still see beautiful games on the Wii.

That definition doesn't make sense.and i agree.
The people who keep saying they would rather have the niche/quirky titles rather than the big name titles are just flat-out lying. I'm not saying you have to love RE5 or Dead Space (hey even I dont care for Dead Space) I don't deny you genuinely like those quirky small games, and there's nothing wrong with that, I like Braid and other 2D scrollers. But you just don't prefer the big name titles because you can't get the big name titles. How can you not prefer Prince of Persia 4 when it's not even coming to your system. Notice in some of your very same posts you say Nintendo has the best 1st party games like Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid, SSBB, and Twilight Princess. I agree, but what do you think those are? BIG name titles! You're just making excuses for the slow 2008 year. Since Nintendo is pretty much releasing only smaller quirky titles lately, and you aren't getting the Big titles, you just say "I prefer the smaller titles anyways." Sure.
If the Wii only came out with MadWorld, Little Fish King, Fatal Frame, Elebits, Bloom Blox, and it didn't come out with ANY Mario, Zelda, SSB, and Metroid title, you would not have bought the Wii. Every gamer buys a system based on big name titles first, and hopefully has a nice collection of 3rd Party games to tide him over in between the big event releases. That's a fact but people shy away from it. You bought the Wii with the promise of the next awesome Mario, Zelda and Metroid titles.
And saying Nintendo was never about 3rd Party games is a cop-out too. It did improve in the Gamecube years. I was impressed with it. It was getting the same Splinter Cell and other multiplatform games as the other two systems. I had no complaints. But now with the Wii I see major multiplatform games skipping past the Wii like it didn't exist. When you gave me something one generation and take it away in the next generation, that sticks out even more. And so I'm trying to analyze the source of the problem - why is Nintendo drying up on 3rd party titles when it showed promise in the previous generation? The simple answer is the increased focus on casual games and, let's admit it, the Wii hardware is not up to snuff to handle many big games. What I said is true, people just don't like the answer.
Where's Your Metroid prime 3? Or Your Boom blox? Or Your Batallion wars, No more heroes? Your Mercury? And Zelda? Where's Your Brawl? Or Your Umbrella chronicles? Your Demon blade? Or Your Zack n Wiki? Or Your Animal crossing? Your Disaster? Your Punch-out? Mario kart? Your Blast works? Your Toki tori? And Your Fatal frame? And Wario Land? Fire Emblem? Or what about Your Obscure? Bad game huh? But what if You like it?! There are no equivalents for many wii games on the x360/ps3. If You don't have a Wii You are missing out. I think some people can live without consoles altogether! lol
How many of those 104 games are the same genre though?
Let's say console X has twenty AA games, that are all considered an FPS. Chances are I'm not going to buy all twenty of those games. I'll choose the ones I like, which will probably only be a couple.

You did all that research? :o
That's actually a lot more variety than I thought I'd see. lol
The good thing about those games, is you get to choose your favorite of a certain genre. Nobody buys all twenty-two of those shooters. If they do, then they can afford to buy me a couple!
But here's how I view the Wii's library. It's smaller library of games only becomes a factor if you don't like those games. I happen to like a couple games in each genre. If I didn't like the games in a certain genre, THAT'S when I'd be screwed. As of yet, I've been fairly entertained by everything I've bought.
With all that said, I'll dance in the streets naked when I buy a 360. Not because I'll have more fun with it, but because I'll have a lot of options, and can choose from a varitey of games in each genre.
AlexSays
Indeed -- that list would be leaps and bounds larger as well if I included the A games as well. ;)
I'll do the same! When I buy a new Video card! :P

- 22 AA+ Games are shooters.
- 15 AA+ Games are action-adventures.
- 10 AA+ Games are driving games.
- 10 AA+ Games are Puzzles, Rythmn,ect.
- 5 AA+ Games are RPGs.
- 24 AA+ Games are sport games.
- 3 AA+ Games are strategy games.
- 6 AA+ Games are platformers.
- 4 AA+ Games are fighters.
- 5 AA+ Games Action games that I didn't want to categorize. :P

The Wii is ok but it would be horrible to be a Wii only owner
Games you would buy in October:
PS3- Socom/Bioshock/Dead Space/ LBP
360- Dead Space/Fable 2
Wii- Guitar Hero World Tour
Mongo-Boss
Fixed.

Hey man, Bill Gates called; he said his backside's getting cold so he needs you to head over and stick your nose back in there. Oh, and let SteveO know that Bill wants his massage in 20.
Wii is soundly and decisively winning the console war this gen... it doesn't need anyone to defend it's integrity...

integrity as in loads of shovelware
I mean c'mon, here it is almost 2 years later and even after all those hardware sales, their game library is garbage, and almost no developers even want to be bothered with it's prehistoric hardware, which is why the Wii will never see such games like Fallout 3, Dead Space, RE-5.
Seriously i hope no one is foolish enough to hang on to or purchase that so called current gen gaming system, it's really not fit to shine the shoes of the PS3 or 360.

It is totally natural to hate the ones you're losing to.
Compared to the Wii, yes. The Wii library when it comes to quality and quantity is a joke. But the Xbox 360s numbers -- compared to last generation, it's dismal.............. 104? :|

Despite your attempt at late afternoon "comedy," we all know laughter is one essential way to hide tears. Notice I praised Nintendo's 1st party games and their Gamecube era, and yet you make that typical fanboyish joke of brown-nosing. I think my praise of Nintendo in my post confused you greatly. You're not used to someone agreeing and disagreeing with you at the same time, you only work in fanboyish absolutes.
How about instead of trying to roll me over with your jokes, attempt to engage in something called a conversation so we can better examine why so many big name titles and multiplatform games have passed the Wii. Now is the best time for Wii to draw in the big name titles and multiplats with its #1 sales and worldwide fame. But you look kind of incapable of providing that answer, but I wasn't looking for anything deep from you anyways.

I mean of look at the IGN top 25. People may disagree with the arrangement of the games. But the list is a good indication of 360's library. IMO, it wasn't good. Or at least it wasn't good for a system with a whooping 104 AA+ games. Wii's titles are attractive for me, which is why i think i like it more?
I dunno really. I mean judging by numbers Wii is dismal as you said. Yet when i look at my library I think the Wii has really good games especially compared to Next generation consoles. Then again you did post that almost a quarter of the 360 games were sports, and FPS takes yet another large chunk, and i'm not a fan of either genre.
