Does anyone think "Metroid Other M" is the stupidest name ever?

Metroid Other M. Seriously. Other M. That is just the dumbest video game title for a game ever. It doesn't look right whenever you write it and it doesn't sound right whenever you say it.

And the acyonym... MOM. MOM.

I'm sorry. It must not be generic enough. Other M has multiple meanings. Atleast I think I read something like that Somewhere.

It's a pretty crappy name, and I say this as a huge Metroid fan. It's not the worse name ever though.

Hey, we can get used to it though, we got used to the Wii, right? :P

What's in a name anyways, by any other name a game would play just as sweetly. :P

However, to non gamers, it's probably going to be a crappy name, so it's not as easy to say as Halo or Mario. ODST was pretty crappy name, fun expansion.

It's fine. My guess is that it stands for "other mother" as in another mother brain. If that's the case, then the acronym, MOM, makes perfect sense.

Who knows for sure if it means anything, unless we find out there is an M in the game and its common, so this game is about the 'other' M. Like James Bonds M.

It all depends on what the name is going to mean in the bigger scheme of things imo.

If it ties in with the story in some meaningful way then I think it's perfectly fine.

Its not the best name ever, but its far from the worst. Remember "Big Mutha Truckers 2: Truck Me Harder" exists.

Well, Super Metroid revolve around capturing the last Metroid in existence, before finding out about Mother Brain right? Other M = Other Metroid, MOM, MOTHER BRAIN!!!! Maybe its set straight after Super Metroid, and there is another unhatched Metroid, and Mother Brain wasn't really dead. :o

Chronologically Other M will supposedly take place between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. So it would be like "Metroid 3.5" or something.
