Could have been the PC version, just saying. Or PS3 version.Brainkiller05
Since itsa multiplat it will run better on 360 and look best on PCBut Im sorry this game looks good so far if it keeps this look it def looks better than UC2.

lol. Depends if the PS3 is lead platform...and it doesn't look better than U2. going by footage.I'm pretty positive that both consoles are almost equal. It's just MS' developers that are too lazy to push the 360's limits.
It doesn't mean 360 hardware is as powerful as PS3. It merely means that this game is very optimised. If one can argue that 360 hasn't been used to its full potential, so can people argue about PS3 hasn't been used to its full potential too.GhoXOn Xbox 360 vs PS3 topic, David Shippy's statement factors in "The GPU is highly sophisticated in the Xbox 360". http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3904/processing_the_truth_an_interview_.php?page=3
"With the Xbox 360, you've got more of a traditional multi-core system, and you've got three PowerPC cores, each of them having dual threads -- so you've got six threads running there, at least in the CPU. Six threads in Xbox 360, and eight or nine threads in the PS3 -- but then you've got to factor in the GPU," Shippy explains. "The GPU is highly sophisticated in the Xbox 360." He concludes: "At the end of the day, when you put them all together, depending on the software, I think they're pretty equal, even though they're completely different processing models."

Digital Foundry: There's a very close parity between Xbox 360 and PS3 performance in both Pure and what we've seen thus far of Split/Second. What is your overall philosophy in dealing with the different multi-core structures and varying GPU abilities of the two console platforms?
David Jefferies: I think the key in dealing with the differences between Xbox360 and PS3 is having a deep understanding of the hardware for both. If you really want to push both consoles to their limits then you need specialised code paths for each platform.
On the Xbox 360 it's all about leveraging the powerful GPU and on the PS3 it's all about SPU utilisation - these are fundamentally different technologies that require very specific code paths. On Split/Second, the final image for each platform is nearly identical but how the pixels get into the image is very different indeed.
Digital Foundry: There's a lot of excitement on Twitter from game coders getting to grips with the PS3's SPUs. Where does that leave 360? Is there much more that can be extracted from the hardware with VMX128 and memexport for example? Is there a sense that CPU aids GPU with PS3 with the opposite situation kicking in on 360?David Jefferies: "The 360 has a very powerful GPU which affords the developer a lot of flexibility about how to approach the rendering. We do offload some work to the CPUs but not as much as for the PS3.
They are very different architectures but after really pushing both consoles for Split/Second we don't get the feeling that one is more powerful than the other - they're just different and this needs to be remembered when designing engines for them.
With your specific examples, yes we do use a lot of VMX128 in performance critical parts of our code and we use memexport when defragging the textures in our streaming buffers (it's best for the GPU to perform this operation because then you don't get contention between the CPU and GPU as they try and access the same textures) and also as part of our tile ****fication system."
Split second is one of the most equal looking mutliplats...
Eww another UE3 game. :(Rockman999
Lol, this is what I think too. I'm sick to death of that engine. I think this will run better on 360 myself, as it's an UE3 game, though they may have fine tuned it enough that it won't be a problem.
B: AA was UE3, but ran pretty much the same on both consoles. I can't think of any others that I've played, as I tend to avoid them.
The game looks good but not as good as Sonys best exclusives based on those pics. Bulletstorm is a multiplat anyways so i dont see how it could be proof of anything.djsifer01
i really don't see how it being a muitplatform game even matters
edit: Also you can see gameplay in the link the TC posted. game looks very impressive
That dude is hardly a ps fan...always bashing ps3. But what I want to know is why are lemmings talking about this as graphics king? its on the PS3 too. And its using the damn ugly Unreal 3 engine. its no graphics king, but its made by the painkiller devs so it will be a fun game! Why is everybody accusing "lemmings" of hyping this when it was posted by a PS fanboy?

[QUOTE="Espada12"][QUOTE="Brownesque"]Downsampled bullshots don't prove anything. The last gameplay video was decidedly not graphics king material. By the way I don't intend to mine a GTTV video for little 30 second snippets of a game with no soul just to prove your outrageous thesis for you.soapandbubbles
The whole thing is gameplay, I just directed you to the part the screenshots came from.....
Yes, they're TOUCHED up shots...and downsampled to LOOK better, hiding obvious flaws. If this was a 720p DF shot it would show those FLAWS. gsus!Yea I guess they touched up the gameplay footage as well.. Geeze read the whole OP.
It does look very impressive, better than Crysis 2 on consoles. BTW, it doesn't prove 360 is as powerful as PS3. All this means is that developers have talent to produce great looking game artistically and technically.
I dont about the 3DS being as powerful as the 360 and PS3, but it's certainly possible that 3DS games will look something like thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpGtu_ZkwqA
It looks pretty nice, but I don't like the style. It's colorful, but it looks so weird and artificial. Teufelhuhn
Yeah, I like my games to look like real life.
