It's a good game, it really is....but it doesn't have me coming back for more...

I feel I wasted my money buying it at full price

Campaign was dull? :?

I'm thinking back...yep, can't think of anything memorable besides the nightclub fight with the Hunters.

I kind of agree with this. I mean, looking back to Halo 3 there were so many awesome, epic moments. The fight on the ridge side on Tsalvo Highway, the double scarab fight, allying with the flood, landing on the Ark... Reach was destitute of these moments. It was fun, had some great shootouts and was never boring per-se, but it lacked those climactic moments.

That's basically my biggest criticism of Reach as well. There are no terrible levels like Cortana in Halo 3, but there are also no amazing levels like Ark and The Covenant. The story never really picks up or climaxes. It just is.

They took absolutely no time to set up any characters, the planet, or anything either. I read the books and played all the other games, and even then I found myself not caring at all about anything happening.

It's a multiplayer game people will be playing in their hundreds of thousands for years. Simply put, to say it deserves any less than a 9 is just silly to me. :)

This is the best way I've seen someone describe Reach's campaign imo. My own personal exception is that I really likedLong Night of Solace, but that's not even traditional Halo.:P

Probably, the little bit I've played of MP was great, and I'm still supposed to get back in touch with my friend to play through the campaign with him some weekend. And if it's even close to being as good as CE's campaign then yeah I'd say it deserves all the good rep it's getting.

Of course. To me it's the best overall game in the series. But it isn't that hard to believe that the formula has grown tiresome on some.

[QUOTE="XanderZane"][QUOTE="kuraimen"]No way it should be even lower. Halo is the most overrated franchise ever. AA quality tops.kuraimen
I think the same about MGS and GT. Seriously overrated.

Nothing is as overrated as Halo though look at the scores here in GS for the 3 series. The Halo scores are ridiculous, I no longer can take GS scores seriously after seeing those. According to GS Halo is close to perfection while those series you mentioned are pretty good but has their flaws which I think is more accurate.

Oh please! You're going to take them seriously again when KZ3 comes out. Isn't that right, Odrec? ;)
