[QUOTE="XboximusPrime"][QUOTE="themyth01"] Not so much. The generation has already been decided. Sony was the biggest loser due to losing so much market share, MS didn't win but they didn't lose either, they have been making profit for 2 years and can now pump more money into their gaming division. Nintendo obviously came out as winner. So even if Sony outsells the 360, it would after years of losses that amounted to billions of dollars and major market loss compared to their previous system. Sony has dropped the ball. themyth01
But there slowly getting that back with the new Momentum and Sales. Im not saying they didnt drop the ball, im just saying that even if they dont out sell 360, that dosent mean they lost. they could still make money on PS3 with continued Cost Reductions andgreat sales. Theyll go on to make PS4, 5 ,6and so on.
They lost in comparison to their position with previous systems. They could outsell the 360 by 10 million units and Sony would have still had the worst generation out of the three manufacturers. Reason being, they dominated with PS2 and lost much of it with PS3. Not only that, they haven't managed to make a cent on their gaming division ever since the PS3 came out. They're improving since the launch of PS3 though, no doubt. However the damage has been done. It's now an uphill battle for Sony. Theyll get to the point where they stop losing money soon. I agree they lost alot of Marketshare, but they still have a great console with great games. and it dosent break down. and They have Great Momentum and they can begin to start getting there market share back. Im not saying all of it, but atleast some of it. It would be really foolish to say PS3 is dead right now, NPDs and recent great games show otherwise. Anyway, does it really matter if it wins of loses. Are Devs going to look at the fact that PS3 is a behind 360, and say "Oh no, now we cant put out the game on PS3 because it only has 31 million users!" Itll do fine.
