I use my 360 controller with my PC game all the time... well, except for RTS and FPS games of course.
What do you guys think?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Exactly. I use a 360 controller for some games, such as F1 2011.No,because you're gaming on a pc.

Um, no. Some games, like Super Meat Boy, SHOULD be played with a controller no matter what system. But it's the system that governs what you're playing. Playing a PC game make you, at that moment, a PC gamer.
But with a controller... which is like surfing with a flatscreen TV in some of my friends' opinion. Well, you're not watching a movie if you're surfing with a flat screen tv. Touché.[QUOTE="lancea34"][QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]
No,because you're gaming on a pc.

No. But it is kinda funny when talking to a PC gamer and they admit to using primarily a controller. Then later on they argue PCs have more control than consoles.
I've talked to gamers in real life that have said all that in a conversation over the course of 15 minutes and they had no idea of the contradiction.

Yeah i highly doubt that.

PC does have more control.... you can pick between thousands of controllers or K+M, while on consoles your stuck with one controller, so in a sense it does have more control (options) :P
..how is it a contradiction? There's nothing wrong with that, nor are they incorrect that PCs have more control. Your conversations with 'real life gamers' must be full of excitement and wonder to be sure, if this is a subject matter. Wow.No. But it is kinda funny when talking to a PC gamer and they admit to using primarily a controller. Then later on they argue PCs have more control than consoles.

Yes, but with one or two controllers, developers know what you have and how to use it. It's why my Move has games, and my Razer Hydra is an unsupported paperweight.[QUOTE="kozzy1234"][QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]

There's a difference between "has a profile" and "developers had in mind during development." I want something on the level of Killzone 3's Move controls, not just weaksauce virtual mouse mapping.No.
It's just a simple peripheral.
It's like saying you use a keyboard and mouse on the PS3 doesn't make you a pc gamer.
If I attach wheels to a plank, does that mean I'm driving a car?
Vesica_Prime
you could effectively call it a street luge. :)
I have all the control. I am the supreme master of all that is controlling. I can use the xbox controller, the PS3 controller, the keyboard and mouse, the NES controller, a Wii controller, a Kinect (well, sorta), and whatever I damn well please. Pretty soon I will be using my mind. I AM control.No. But it is kinda funny when talking to a PC gamer and they admit to using primarily a controller. Those already exist :D
Is the system a PC? Well then, there's your answer. I play games like Assassin's Creed and racing games with a controller. I'm still playing on the PC although I do play console games too like Gears of War and Uncharted. Nothing is wrong with that either.
I'm actually planning to buy the PS3 converter for mouse and keyboard by Penguin company. I've seen them demonstrate games like Killzone 3 and the responsiveness is the best out there for KB/M converters. It's like $80 though so I'll get it some day.

They also hinted for FPS fans that theyll be revealing something to the media in 3 months. They're also considering working for others like devs for the mech game Hawken.
Also aren't most of these PS move supported titles PS3 first party exclusives ;)
Also isn't this Killzone 3 move control just moving the gun and crosshair freely which you can probably do for PC games by using the console command.
