Ever since the trophy patch yeah most if not all games have had them from then on. Except for those that came before the trophy patch.
Question.

It's mandatory for all games this year and beyond to have Trophies, and many games have been patched. 2008 was the beginning of the Trophy phase. That being said, the really early titles don't have trophies.
Oh well.

I know your posting habits and I know you bphan, so my question is :
What's the point of this question at all, why not simply use Google?
Is there any reason why MGS4 didn't get a trophy patch but games made before it did? Was it Kojima's decision not to include them?
For all games made from the beginning of 2009 on, yes. Before then, only a few games either shipped with trophy support or had the feature added retroactively by a patch.
In short, no. Trophy support is not universal, but it will be standard in games produced from now on.

not all, but most, PS3 owners should thank LIVE for coming up with the idea and implementing it. If LIVE didnt have achievements, PSN wouldnt have trophies. copycat service will always be inferior albeit
I think the last game to come out in the UK without trophy support was afro samurai, so if you want you games to have trophies dont buy any games older then this with out checking the internet
I can't tell if Primus is a fanboy or a fakeboy
Jfisch93
i can tell you are a fanboy. thats good though.
who cares?...Good games shouldnt need to have trophies or achievements in order for someone to re-play them.

Kojima probably wanted people to enjoy MGS4 the way he intended it,and not have morons stand there and fire 50 Stinger rounds into a wall just for a petty bronze trophy.

You act as if trophys somehow ruin a game. PS3 simply didn't have the system in place when the game was released. As far as I know, the large majority of recent games do, but to my knowledge games that didn't previously have trophies still don't.Skittles_McGeeany game released in 09 has them. and a very few before that does. which sucks because some of the older games are really cheap now. so i just buy them on 360 instead for the achievements. guess it dont matter if you only have a ps3 or dont care about the extra replay value achievements or trophies offer to games.
[QUOTE="Syferonik"]Even if it does, trophies are boring (compared to achievments) so even if there wasn't any i still don't care.Gxgear
ROFL trophies are boring compared to achievements....they're identical, multiplats even share the exact achievement lists.
not all. pinball hall of fame is one game i know of. ps3 version you get trophies for high scores, 360 version you get them beating table goals. which i thought would be more funWell GTA IV and Uncharted got patched with trophyies, it's kind a strage that other multiplat developers didn't, since they had ready code on 360 achivments, they simply just needed to replace some functions to work with trophyes.
