Does resistance 3 look a bit suspect is it really in game......

Resistance 3 is a massive step up from R2, It's not the same engineas resistance2that's for sure it looks more like the killzone graphics engine??? It looks to good to be true coming from insomniac, that are not exactly known for top of the line graphics in there games.

The Ratchet and Clank games have really good graphics just a different type of style. With the extra year of dev time I'm confident Insomniac can deliver that level of graphics. They did say that they were disappointed with Resistance 2 so they are probably going all out on this installment

I was watching it on a really crappy TV but the gun/hand models are the only thing that seemed off. I thought it looked like it was being controlled with the Move.

no....you do understand that they released ratchet and clank inbetween R1-R2 and R2-R3. its actually 2 years of dev time for R3.

Insomniac has already said all the gameplay is real time in-engine.

Insomniac is a much larger studio than ones like ND. Their main studio has nearly twice as many people s ND, and they just opened a new one in N Carolina.

Half the team (in the main studio) works on 1 game, half the other.

The PS1 Spyro games and the Ratchet games on PS2 and PS3 are some of the best looking games on their respective system so Insomniac has always made good looking games. (Excluding Resistance series, don't know what went wrong there)

No...Considering I own every Insomniac game released the last three generations, I think I understand more about that studio than most here in SW. Insomniac is much larger and more varied than most here in SW know, and I mentioned an extra year timeline was as an interesting fact, enjoy it for what it is.

They actually have three games a comin' (That we are privy to reading about).

1. An upcoming, new IP multiplat PS360 game,
2. Resistance 3 PS3,
3. Ratchet & Clank : All 4 One PS3 (First ever online Ratchet co op game).

That's all we consumers know about at least. :P

The animations seem to have improved A LOT. The previous Resistance games felt very...stiff.

Oh yes, they have updated their engine after all.

The Crash Bandicoot games had some of the best graphics on the PS1 era and even by today's standards they still look very decent. The Jak and Daxter games are some of the best looking games on the PS2 with 16:9/480p support... So about that statement you're just wrong.

LOL WHAT? Jax and Daxter were ranked as one of the best looking game son the PS2 and Crash bandicoot series was among the best looking titles on the PS1. ND has alwasy been known for pushing hardware probalby as much if not more so then any console developer.
