Does Sony have the best 1st party?

ND i get (not a fan personally but i get it) KZ was a terrible series, (I'm hyped to play horizon tonight though), God of war is amazing, JS sucks, SP i decent at best, Sony Bend sucks, GT sucks now, MM sucks, SSD sucks.

plus most of these devs can't put out games in any normal timeline. GT gets delayed all the time, SSM hasn't released a game in 4 years and counting. SSD is a yearly MLB game.

Horizon looks like the only good thing Sony put out this gen in my opinion so far.

Sony's first party is kinda homogenous though, everything is a variation on third person action games.

MS have some quality games but they desperately need some new IPs

Well on the one hand, they do get shit on for that plenty. It's been an ongoing vocal criticism for years, Nintendo doesn't get a free pass from gamers on this.

On the other hand, they're not exactly comparable to MS in this respect. Nintendo has a significantly larger stable of IPs than MS, especially if we're talking IPs that are still actively being put to use. They cover a larger genre variety as well, they're actually more in line with Sony in this respect. Furthermore, Nintendo does a better job of keeping their IPs fresh. Some of them do get a bit samey and stagnant, sure, but often times you're not getting sequels that feel like they could have been mods to a previous title.

Anyways, not saying Nintendo shouldn't be more creative and branch out further, they absolutely should. And I'm certainly not saying they're perfect, but in this tallest midget contest they do come out smelling like roses, and they're nowhere near MS's level of IP suffocation.

Honestly id say yes. Lots of people will think im a dumb cow for saying it but its one of the reasons why i became a fanboy of the PS brand. They have a much more diverse lineup of exclusives. However Nintendo has one of my favorite franchises of all time(Zelda) and there is always an impeccable quality to those games. I also still enjoy Mario and the SSB series.

Nintendeno hasn't been "orignal" since the N64 and Camecube. They even copied LBP. LOL Dreams has already brought the concepr to a whole new level and it has quality platforming too but let's give Nintendo props for the same old franchises with a "twist." lol
