Does the 360's games library destroy PS3's ?

With the extra year 360 has amassed plenty of titles over the PS3 and here in Gamespot PS3 didn't receive it's first AAA till 2 years after release whilst with 360 it was day 1. Now if a gamer wants to purchase a console is it fair to say that in terms of games 360 blows PS3 out of the water and is the obvious choice?

I ask this because lemms are always quick to point out that 360 has the better library as if gamers, a casual in fact plans on buying every single one of those quality games. Most gamers don't even look back when they buy a console and casuals usually judge a console on the recently released and upcoming games. What I am saying is that for potential buyers PS3 and 360 library are pretty much equal if not leaning towards the PS3 due to it's epic exclusives released this year and in the next 2 months. Of course I want to know System Warriors have to say about this :)

No, they both have good libraries. The 360's just happens to be larger atm.

I believe it is the other way around. But I have not checked either.

2 years ago i might have said yes but the way it is now PS3 has the upperhand and the gap only looks to be getting bigger with time.

I don't know how much influence games like GRAW , PDZ , PGR3 ..... and even Forza 2 would have at this point on the 360 side to new consumers that are informed. Just play the sequels or spend your time on far better games. (a lot of early multiplats as well) They are just numbers touted on a spreadsheet at this point imo for the gamer looking for a console. On the ps3 side , I'd say the original Motorstorm would be the tough sell with the superior sequel out there now and getting GT5 Prologue would be pointless as well with GT5 coming soon apparently.

umm 360 fans do say this, not you but your fellow lemms always bash when an exclusive games ends up on a PS3, mainly saying it's a year old implying that on one cares about the game because it's been played a year ago, as if the game has become unplayable a year later. apparantly the 360 has the better library, i personally dont really see it, it doesnt have that many games i actually want, and alot of the games i do want are also on PC.

If by first year you mean the first 12 months, then the 360 had an excellent first year.

I don't see his point really, I could say the same thing about old games from 15 years ago. Fact is I'd still rather play Yoshi's Island than Uncharted 2, Demon Souls or inFamous. A great game stands the test of time no matter what.
