last gen consoles like wiiuniversity don't equal next gen starting, that being said, come join the next gen which is already underway on the PC!

It depends on the released hardware.

For example, Radeon HD 4860M ~= Radeon HD 47x0 desktop and it's design serve as the basis for Radeon HD 57x0/67x0 and Radeon HD 58x0M.

Radeon HD 4860M comes with GDDR5 memory type.

PC has done 1080p 60 FOR YEARS. The last gen started already on PC and wiiuniversity has last gen specs.

Um dude....I'm not a techie so you listing all that stuff was kind of a waste of time.

If I did know what all that meant, that would not magically make me go gaga over the WiiU. So far this just seems to be a little bit more powerful than HD twins and that is not impressive.

Oh well...I will get one eventually but I can definitely wait a few years.

Nope, this gen has been saturated, if you look at the sales curves of 360 and PS3, they have passed their maximum and are well on the way down.

Similarly, 3rd parties are starting to transition to next gen systems.

Wii U will be competing with Xbox 3 and eventually PS4, thus these three systems together will form the 8th gen.

But the GamePad is the next gen controller, so in that sense, Wii U is a next gen system; consumers will look at the gamepad vs dualshock and naturally come to the conclusion that the gamepad is the new/superior version.

It's the first eighth generation console. The 3DS was basically the first platform for cycle six of consoles, followed by the Vita. The Wii U is up next and probably Microsoft following suit with the new Xbox. Sony will probably release their platform last.
