Yep, it does..Â
This topic is locked from further discussion.
While I am excited by Metroid Prime 3 (After playing and liking the first two, why wouldn't I?) , games like Super Mario Strikers Charged will also keep my attention for a while. However, that is far, FAR below the standard that the 360, and yes, even the PS3, are setting this summer. Releases like Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Lair(Even if it flops, for fans of Rogue Squadron, they will go crazy for this), Heavenly Sword (Yeah, I know what you are thinking, "But..Heavenly Sword won't score as well as God of War!" While that may be true in a sense, Heavenly Sword will still probably be an enjoyable game (Too bad I only have a Wii X_X).
All in all, that Wii Lineup does not, and I repeat does NOT (Even with Metroid Prime 3 on there, regrettably) compete with the 360 and PS3 lineups. Sure, Metroid Prime 3 might outsell (and outscore somewhat) most of the 360 and PS3 lineups, but two games and a bunch of third party games that are better on 360/PS3 (And maybe one or two original games that hold some promise), does not equal an amazing lineup. Sure the Wii fans will tell you differently (and I can rightfully see why), but for real, the Wii's lineup for this year just plain sucks.Â
You know its a list of games for Summer, and summer titles are always blah with a few exceptions.
Most of the games will come out in Fall i presume. Â

Hope so. It's actually got me a wee bit worried that we may not see SMG or SSBB this year, for some reason...

I doubt that SMG will come out this year, brawl however, will come out in the Fall. It makes sense to release it during the holiday season.Â
I am not sure if any other games will be announced, so assuming these are the games that are going to be available for Wii up untill fall, are you satisfied?

As someone who has still not decided to purchase a Wii, for many reasons beyond just a lack of titles that interest me, this list has definately not convinced me personally to rush out and buy one. The only interesting game, IMO, is Metroid Prime 3. That's just my own personal opinion of course...

You forgot about Pokemon Battle Revolution. I'm only interested in that game for the summer. That game is going to sale a lot of games and increase Wii sales as well. Everyone knows how big Pokemon is. It has online play too. Â

yeh 360 n ps3 hav a lot better line ups IMO. Other games like forza 2, too human, bioshock, the darkness, ninja gaiden r just a few 360/ps3 offer so no, wii dsnt satisfy
I'm not a sheep, but I have to ask all the cows and lemmings; what the hell do THEY have for the summer?ZebethOrZebes
I do find it ironic how all the cows seem to be bashing the Wii for having nothing to play yet for the past couple months they have had nothing worthwhile released. At least the Wii had Super Paper Mario, all cows got was a broken port of F.E.A.R..

Is that really the case though?

Those games should be worth a purchase. Madden will be better on other systems.
probably been said but i dont feel like reading through 7 pages of wii bashing. That List isnt every summer title either. Theres lots of other games coming out 3rd party wise they didnt put on the list.
Â
and Its well worth Pointing out htis is a SUMMER lineup. Summer being the weakest time of the year for Gaming releases and they have some decent titles coming.
Whining about summer releases is like winning the special olympics. Your still retarded.
So let's see
May: Mario Party 8
June: Big Brain Academy:Â Wii Degree/Pokemon Battle Revolution/Resident Evil 4/Mercury Meltdown
July: Mario Striker Charged/Manhunt 2
August: Metroid Prime 3
September: Battalion Wars 2
And hopefully Dewy's Adventure isn't too far away.
So with that said, what does the PS3/360 have for the Summer, let's see some lists
[QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]FACT, Wii can NOT satisfy a gamer's fix, you need a PS3 or X360 along with it.
Â

Â
Nope, PS3 and 360 are not needed
Â
Yeah, who needs quality games with Million dollar budgets and Cinematic presentation anyway?Â
No.
I would say MP3 has me a touch excited, but I'm not sold that the Wii can do FPS yet. Same applies to BW2.
The rest is just utter garbage to me.Â
Hmmm that list is imcomplete.......... and quite frankly with a complete list of games that I am thinking it definitely does interest me, hell that list alone has must own titles.
The 360 has the majors wich are Mass Effect, Blue Dragon and Halo 3. PS3 has........... Lair and Heavenly sword? Not counting with potential gems in both of those ..... Well Heavenly Sword actually fits into that since it's not proven to be a quality title just yet.
Quite frankly going with the games you missed, I preffer the Wii's lineup to the PS3 and the 360 is very, very arguable. Â

The PC has games with higher budgets than any console game ever will. So yeah I'll stick with that and my Wii over a box full which will break down on me or a blu-ray player being forced into my mouth.Â

Yeah, I can't see any games on that list that must have cost over a million dollars to make. After all, Nintendo games are delivered by the video game fairy under Miyamoto's pillow every night.

Damn! I knew it all along. That fairy is also the one responsible for stealing my water.Â
*yawn, i see the typical wii-bashers are here....
jeez, i guess they had nothing to play on their ps3's....Â

You got lucky, when I woke up my water turned to apple juice... I think...Â
Only two titles of any value, Metroid and Mario Strikers.
To me the rest will probably be better on the other consoles except maybe madden but that is more of a preference of do you like to do all the weird motions with the controller. Games like Brothers in Arms will be crap, period. Pinball or the kids games really aren't that appealing. Although the bowling will be fun, I bet it gets old quick (like Wii sports).
Trust me I want the Wii to do good but that list is not impressive. I guess I'm just disapointed no StarWars Lightsaber fighting yet :(
Bearing in mind this is the summer release schedual, yes, yes it does.
Â
To those asking for more 3rd party games, it takes a year or so to make a decent game, nobody (other than me apparently) expected Wii to sell this well, so any 3rd party games that were not planned a year ago will most likely suck anyway. More 3rd party games in Q4 07... in 08 Wii will be home to many great 3rd party games.Â
No.

Vampyronight
I would so far agree with that.
I think the Wii can do FPS games but I have yet to see one that has controls that actually satisfy me personally...
