but if you were rich you would not be bothered by the fact that it broke, you would simply get a new one

2.) Dashboard isnt innovative. The PS2 had the browser or whatever... it's just an interface, nothing new.

Question should be does ps3 have any original ideas of its own? I would mention Wii as well but sadly its just a last gen console with wiimote

Gotta love the fanboys. Well, maybe the 360 isn't the most innovative console. But isd the PS3? Nope. PS3 has Blue-Ray, 360 has Live. So, in terms of console innovation both are pretty similar.

Second, if one console tries to be innovative (of course, I'm talking of the Wii) it is called "casual", "for non truly gamers" and that it is not "for traditional/harcore gamers".

So conclusion:

None of that stuff is actually confirmed for a Mircosoft console yet. The XBOX had a hard drive before a Sony system. MS made the guide button and XBOX Live (best matchmaking system and online service for console). XBOX made the achievement system and allows for HD gaming without installation (neither PC nor PS3 does that-but ultimately it's just a half hour max). Basically anything in the PS3's latest update was done on the 360 before (and soundtracks on the first XBOX).

MS/360 has brought a lot to the table, including a unified online structure. Alot of the 2.40/2.41 update included things that the 360 had first (in game messaging, in game menu, in game guide, achievments/trophies. And sorry I don't consider the sixaxis to be motion sensing...it's more of a tilt sensor.

I'm not busting on the PS3, but all of the consoles have added alot this generation.

Achievements for every game (even Live Arcade), XBox Live w/headset, Live Arcade, HD T.V./Movie rental, listen to your own music while you play game, etc... I'd say they brought a few things to the table.

They were the first to allow user's music to player while you played your game on a game console. First game console to offer a headset and remote controller in box at launch. First to offer achievements across all games. Yes, I know EA havd some sort of achievements in their sports games, but no one could see them online and they weren't across ALL their games.

XBLG: The largest MMOAPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Achievement Playing Game)

Kids need to realise that the only thing original about the X-Box is out of game achievements (something that has been done, and is, in game), gaming didn't start when the 360 came out, though people like to think so.
