people who think the ps3 version is way better are just crazy, and frankly for all this time in development its not that much better, cows are just trying to make this huge when its not loading times in game are better and view distance is better but it does not have downloadable content and a crappy controller with no rumble to play it with. i will stick with the 360 version.

Your complaining about downloadable content when the game just came out and trust me rumble does nothing for you when you have a surround system, my subwoofer does more then a vibrator in a controller could ever do. You say improved loading time and view distance improvements mean nothing. If I recall Sony's version of Fight Night scored lower because the characters in the background didnt look as good??? It didnt matter that the actual character models for the boxers were better and thats where the camera was centered. Nit picky things like that are the only reason why the 360 version of a game scores higher.

Because I used to own oblivion, but I traded it in. Now the expansion is coming out, and I regret trading it in, because I wanna play the expansion REALLY bad, so I'm going to have to buy it again. But, for what console? Normally, I'd pick the 360, because I already have a leveled character saved on the console. But at the same time, if the ps3 version will HONESTLY be noticably better, EVEN AFTER THE 360 PATCH, then I'll probably pick it up on the PS3.

The graphics are minimally different (from what I've seen), but the load time and the lack of FPS drops are both huge to me. Load times particularly; I've played the PC and the 360 versions of Oblivion, and honestly? I couldn't stand how long it took everything to load on my 360. Still a good game regardless of system, though. -John

Yes I updated the xbox 360 version yesterday far off distance textures still look blurry but it's better now. And I played PS3 version from Gamefly. It doesn't look much different then the Xbox 360 version but it does look better texture wise.
i played it with the new patch, it is greatly improved. shorter loading, better drawing distance, and sharper graphics. and i dont' have to pay 660 dollars to enjoy it.

Sounds like the game needs to be just about fully installed to the hard drive. Really makes me wish Microsoft had a hard drive standard with the 360 from the get-go, not enough games use the hard drive caching to good effect to speed up loading times.
